Good bowling in the end from Johnson. Held his nerve at the end.
Well done Heat. Looked like wooden spoon favourites now they're pretting much in the finals,

These 2 went the Dhoni method, could have won it beforehand if they didn’t plod.

Heat into 3rd 😲

Could have won it if we didn't gift them 22 extra, or have one of our bowlers go for 13 and a half runs economy rate. Or if Clarke didn't plod his 31 from 32.

Fair play to the Heat, a few of their players stood up, Peirson and Hain with the bat, Kuhnemann, Swepson with the ball and young Johnson bringing it home somehow at the end.

You had every conceivable chance to win that game.

The first no-ball, was a no-ball, no worries.

The second one, yeah, nah.

There's a bit of RCB about the Melbourne Stars (that's Kohli IPL franchise for those who aren't in the loop), they've never won it either despite having full access to the cream of the crop.

Yes indeed

Last time they made the IPL final was 2016 v Sunrisers

They had Kholi, De Villiers, Gayle, Shane Watson in their top order

Sunrisers made 208
RCB were 0/114 (10.2 overs), and then 1/140 (12.4 overs)
Losing by 8 runs

On the other side Warner was captain, Moises Henriques and Ben Cutting are IPL winners
Cutting man of the match
Kholi was man of the tournament

There is something about Kohli, he's a great player but as far as team success goes, India don't do that well in tournaments.

One of their best achievements in recent times would be beating us here in Australia in a Test series, ironically Kohli went home early for that series.

So if Kohli hasn't won a IPL then he hasn't won a T20 Trophy in his career then.

He hasn't won a T20 World Cup and Indian players aren't allowed to play in other domestic tournaments so zilch there.

I am not counting baseless bilateral series.

That sounds about right, they didn't even make it to the Asian Cup final, which was a tournament contested between India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Yet they worship him like he's some cult figure and the god of cricket, they don't win tournaments, their fans carry on though about his match winning knock which saw them defeat Pakistan in the group of the last T20 world cup however in their semi against England, he got 50 off 40 or something which obviously was never going to trouble a team like England.

Last two 50 over WC semi finals he has been dismissed for 1 both times as well.

India haven't won a t20 world cup since the first one in 2007.
And only made one other final.

Mythical creatures.
