Your mate is absolutely correct. The present tv rights deal for cricket in this country is a SIGNIFICIANT reason why cricket is gradually sinking as a sport in this country.

There are a generation of kids that would not have seen an international one day or 20/20 match because of the same tv rights deal. It stinks....CA is hurting its own sport.

Yeah. I imagine fox spent a bundle for exclusivity, but very short sighted from CA if they want to grow the game. Smithy and Warner, even if Warner is way passed his prime is still a big ratings draw.
Ridiculous decison to make this exlusive.

7 probably realises they can't compete with the Aussie open on 9 so are happy to give it to fox for a lot of the 2 weeks.
