Thank you, if you have him in your BBL side for 10 games he will win 1-2 off his own bat alone, and be key in another couple.

I think the Stars problem is their team is so batter heavy, meaning when they post 190 you’re not too worried about chasing, as the bowling is generally poor.
Stars bigger problem is Maxwell and Stoinis

Two blokes who have egos as long as the great wall of China.

Maxwell misses half the BBL every season through injury and Stoinis is an all time fraud who has never delivered in pressure moments.

Until the stars clean out those 2 overpaid idiots they are winning nothing.

They moved on Zampa but the clean out wasn't ruthless enough.

Heat did a big cleanout couple of years ago and won the comp last year

*thinks for a moment*

Tbh I think you can carry Maxy but probably not Stoin (esp if you have Maxwell already), as Maxwell on his day is arguably the best in the world in this format. I would imagine these two are in the top 5 paid players in the comp which leaves little cap space for the rest of the side. Their game plan seems to revolve around letting these two win the game for them

If I were I charge of the stars I would move on Stoinis and look to a quality bowling import. Also look to pick up another good domestic bowling option as well as an opening bat with what you save from Stoinis. There are some decent players in that team but as mentioned previously it’s a top heavy side and even at full strength they carry more plodders than the other sides.

Compare them two the two consistent franchises, the Sixers and the Scorchers are so well drilled that they never really seem to be under the pump
In a run chase. The Heat have also put together a balanced side and are yielding results. Will be interesting how they do when the likes of Bartlett and Johnson among others are regularly called out to play for Aus.
