I can't believe how many people on here don't see a problem with that.
She was a journalist doing her job - she shouldn't have to go through that. He wouldn't say that to a male journalist. He's essentially saying to her face that he doesn't respect her as a journalist.
It's complete bullshit and he is rightfully being sanctioned for it.
In my experience, a lot of women quite fancy fit multi millionaire proffessional sports athletes.
Is the issue that he asked for a drink, or that he did it during him being interviewed while on camera? I'd say he fancies her. She is very attractive and she is into sport. That is enough to get a lot of men keen for her.
Why is it different that he asked her during the interview and not after? She could decline him on camera if she wanted to do so. They're not co-workers.
If broadcasters are going to use hot women with extreme sex appeal to interview proffesional athletes during and after games with testorone flowing, they will get asked out for a drink by the athletes. On air or off air. They may even get called attractive on air by the sportsman.
It was flattering to her. He was hardly inviting her for a Matty Johns type situation in the dressing room with his entire team. He has not disrespected her as a journalist. He has flattered her as a person.
