I walked past there when they were on and it looked likethat stage was going off more then tool was tbh

Seriously tools sound was so quiet! Compared to how heavy and loud rammstien came through

Did anyone see die Antwoord? Was wondering how they were I've heard good things

Tool were still pretty loud but they dont have the stage show that Rhamstein did.

I was disappointed they didn't play 10,000 days, they did last time they played.

Yeah I think I was just on a high after watching such an awesome live show. And Maynard is awesome musician but it just weird how he kinda just stays back on stage next to the kit. But I love tool and it won't change my opinion of them at all!

Might as well post a few thoughts.

The Naked And Famous 3
Didn't know who they were. Still don't know. Three songs that sounded completely different. One extremely incoherent one. Annoying.

We Say Bamboulee 5
The Unearthed winner. Music wasn't bad.

Operator Please 7
Not having listened to the second album, I was expecting a fun show. Disappointed, but still enjoyed it. Go the cover of Milkshake.

Children Collide 8
I saw them open for Living End a few years back. Still as good as they were back then, kept their roots. Great show.

Dead Letter Circus 4
Name speaks for itself.

Metals 1
All I could recognise was a woman screaming and swearing. I don't even remember what the music sounded like. I don't even remember if there was music.

Gypsy And The Cat 6
Music was decent, vocals were shocking.

Andrew W.K. 8
Fantastic! Great party music, as soon as "We Want Fun" came on I immediately remembered who he was!

Gyroscope 5
Average. Alright Nirvana cover though.

Bliss N Eso 2
I don't like rap. He did propose to his girlfriend, which my own girlfriend thought was so sweet. Pressure's on me. Thanks a f*cking lot.

Deftones 8
Sound from where we were sucked a bit. But a great set.

Birds Of Tokyo 4
I've heard bad things about this band. People were right. Boring.

John Butler Trio 7
I don't like him much, but this was a damn good show!

Iggy And The Stooges 7
Beautiful. Just beautiful.

Rammstein 11
Still speechless.

Tool 9
Wonderful show, but Rammstein stole all the spotlight.

Grinderman 7
Lots of f-bombs...

ahhh...just got back. from what i can remember

Airborne - Rock and Roll start to the day
Lupe Fiasco - Very solid, it was so f**king hot at that time of the day though so hard to enjoy
Some sh*t in the Boiler Room - Zero
Deftones - Good effort, hard to fault
Crystal Castles - Pretty intense set, didn't mind them
JBT - Solid as usual but didn't stay for long as i'd seen it last time
Edward Sharpe - Absolutely awesome. Almost the act of the day, really really good
Wolfmother - Mmmm...yeh seen it all before, didn't stay long here
Iggy - Sorry guys, great blast from the past but needs to hit the seniors tour
Rammstein - Should've been main event. As much as I love Tool, I think they would've complemented the show much better if their timeslots were switched. Unbelievable set, the crowd was off chops the whole time. I'd imagine a few injuries were had
Tool - Really really flat after Rammstein. I felt a bit sorry for them. Although I do think they didn't help themselves with the playlist, very tough few songs to sit through at the start after the Stein. Still, produced the goods
Grinderman - Pretty sollid but we were a bit over it by then

Cheers,
Moffo

I thought it was missing perhaps one headline act. Having birds of Tokyo and JBT from 5-7 was a bit weak

I personally wouldn't have iggy back again either

Probably the best of the three Big Day Outs I've been to. Decided to go up whilst drunk at an Australia day party where a ticket was going around. Good crew of people to go up with and being the second day wasnt nearly as packed as the other ones I have been to, which was a big improvement, being able to freely move between area's with ease.

The Vines - Not bad, not my favourite act but just chilling in the stands they were ok

Little Red - OK, dont like their new songs much and had to laugh at the amount of people that left after Rock It, but quite like the older sound they had (songs like Jackie Cooper, Coca Cola)

Dead Letter Circus - sat around and listened, not bad although the songs all kind of blend in as one, but reasonable show.

Airbourne - pretty sh*te but funny to watch, scaffold solo pretty cool

Lupe Fiasco - One of the better acts of the day, good that you can see how much he's enjoying himself and the live band makes for a good show, threw in plenty of tunes, good show for someone not usually into hip-hop

heard Bliss and Eso after that but left to chill outside the main arena, they were sh*thouse however, coming on after Lupe made them look a bit amateur in comparrison. You know when the Aussie Aussie Aussie chant is brought out you're struggling.

Went off and watched Angus and Julia after downing a large amount of freebie froezen coctails. They bore me quite alot, low energy and pretty mediocre. Others seemed to be enjoying them.

then went to a bit of Crystal Castles, rubbish, not my scene. met up with others and went n got some food then back to Boiler Room.

Bloody Beetroots - like hearing a cover of New Noise but again that kind of place is not my scene at all, the amount of pillfreaks around etc. So bailed on my mates to go to the main arena

Iggy and the Stooges - Awesome, my personal highlight. The amount of energy from this guy (especially compared to alot younger bands such as the stone sisters) was incredible, and some great old songs there as well, No Fun into I wanna Be Your Dog a highlight. Loved a bit of the stage banter as well. Great set.

Ran into some friends during Rammstein. What a ridiculous show that was. Not a fan of the music but boy was it an incredible stage show, a good vibe with the group we were with moving around a bit, good fun. Du Has with the fireworks sent back and forth was cool.

Then we watched a bit of tool, who were sh*thouse, very dissapointing performance. Left that and went over to Pnau where we were dead, just chilled on the grass, they were alright. Few went over to MIA and we stayed there.

Grinderman - great way to end the day, Nick Cave a ridiculous frontman. Kitchenette was incredible

then a wander back to wait for the bus before the fun journey home, on which i fell asleep pretty quickly, rooted after a big two days

I agree, I would have watched them if they were on the main stage

I didn't get the Birds of Tokyo love, they were pretty boring, as were Lupe Fiasco and Bliss N Esso, waste if time putting crap like that on the main stage, its just commercial cap for 13 year old girls to buy

Couldn't disagree more. I happen to love all 3.

who did Primal Scream clash with?

A brilliant band, playing one of the most influential albums of the 90s. It'd have wanted to be a good clash to miss them!
