In all my Tool excitement I didn't really look at the rest of the line up, except for Rammstein there isn't much that interests me a whole lot, going to have to check out some of the bands I don't know before the day.
Tool clashes with Grinderman.
Looks like I'll be going to the sideshow.
Tool - 9:15-10:30
Grinderman - 10:50 - 11:50
They clash at the Gold Coast BDO, I assume I'm reading the timetable correctly.
Best Big Day Out ever !!!!!!!
Still some crap bands on the main stages but........
Airborne, old school pub rock, you cant go wrong with good material, best part was when the guitarist climbed the scaffold right to the top and played a guitar solo perched on top of the scaffold between the two stages, about 25 metres in the air, amazing.
John Butler, best I've ever seen him play, played an amazing instrumental solo, the guy can play. His live stage show is much better then last time I saw him, just sitting down and talking to the people, great drum solo at the end with all three playing percussion.
Deftones were very very good, worth a look.
Rhamstein..............................just wow, I'm speechless, worth the price of admission, had my face melted by their stage show, then got sprayed with bubbles at the end.
Tool, the band I wanted to see the most and never fail to deliver, just a shame they didn't play 10,00 days.
Best BDO ever.
