I thought the Living End and Wolfmother were the pick.

Hey Earl, you weren't at Melbourne wearing a Kangaroos PSP training shirt and a Storm cap by any chance at all were you?

I live in Newcastle, hence I was at the Sydney BDO. ;)

I'd reserve your judgement on Pearl Jam until we see what they have produced with their new album - no influence from Sony. They are still in the top 2 live bands in the world - they are just stellar...

True.. they werent my favourites on the day but probably put on an awesome performance for those who enjoy their music or were close to the front.

That's probably for the best - Pearl Jam would blow them off the stage. Seriously.

But judging from Pearl Jam's touring schedule (I've seen prelim dates - aim for mid-December), there will be no room for side shows. There are bookings for 3 shows in Sydney and Melbourne, 2 shows in Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth with a spare day between each city. No room at all for side shows.

I like it! :D

I am glad, i agree that telling people what to like and what not to like is not intelligent. Music is a subjective art and can be appreciated by all!

Thats a sh*t load of shows. I quite like Pearl Jam, so I guess it would be cool seeing them with KOL.

If you know the prelim dates does that mean that KOL are supporting?

It's not really that many shows - They did 3 shows in Sydney last time around and sold them all out. They could probably do a Cricket Ground show I suppose - not sure whether they do outdoor shows any more given they wont do Festivals - but I'd rather see a couple of arena shows any way.

It is a really tight schedule though - from memory there might have been a spare day in Sydney...when I talk to my mate who had the dates I'll double check. The Sydney dates were like 11-14 December 2006.

I'd say they's probably do it @ the entertainment centre or the Superdome. I can't see them suiting at an outdoor venue like the SCG. Plus don't they only do fully seated venues? It'd be hard to do that @ the SCG imo.

Oh...forgot to mention...the Entertainment Centre was what was listed as the venue in Sydney, Rod Laver in Melbourne, Entertainment Centre in Brisbane. The Cricket Ground comment was more of a wish (remembering the Eastern Creek show in 1995 - the first time I saw them...it was biiiiig....) than anything.
