I thought the running battle between the two glass men was pretty darn funny.

To SBW's credit, though, after Tea Bag Burgess steamrolled him, straight after halftime he crunched him in a couple pretty good tackles and Burgess went mia for the next quarter.

I just can't help feeling embarrissed that he is back playing league. I was really embarrissed at the way channel 9 focussed on him. Really cringeworthy stuff.

I'd rather him go back to rugby and let them feel embarrissed.It just makes me feel that having him there, reflects on League as having no credibility.

Well done to channel 9 for the subtle, understated way they broadcast last nights game, being careful not to interrupt coverage of SBW warming up on the sideline with some game of rugby league that was going on in the background. Hmmm - I wonder what Sonny Bill is thinking right now?

He played okay, made a heap of tackles and didn't miss any, even the steamrolling Burgess went down. Find it funny how the commentators and writers banged on about how being out of the game for five years essentially means he will now be a softkck...he can still tackle just fine. All Blacks environment not that bad a place to be for your league hiatus...

Thought it was a masterstroke actually, having a NRL game as buildup to the $BW show...
Hopefully they'll get some serious flack for that and maybe they'll take their hands off it and the Lovefest might settle down a bit.
That really was the most awful thing I have ever seen in an Aussie League broadcast...it was Gus Gould Pre Origin wank with extra cheese
