NOTHING will compare to how much Easts want to beat Saints next year. Nothing.

That was like how BADLY we wanted to beat the storm this year. At least the dragons didn't cheat , but storm did which just made the game the best game of the year for me .

Eels v Storm will be big for a few years yet too, good point Sarah.

That was like how BADLY we wanted to beat the storm this year.

That's why I think it would be interesting to schedule the grand final replays before Week 10 on a home & away basis, with the loser getting the first game and the winner getting the return match a week or a few weeks later.

Sharks v - Dragons, Panthers... ?

Sharks/Panthers?? :?

Anyways, from a rooster perspective, the 2 biggest games in the first half of next year are against the Dragons and Tigers. Dragons for obvious reasons and we just know the Qualifying final will be played up in the media before the first roosters/tigers game.

For me the biggest games change based on who is doing what - but league ladder aside here are some that are usually great viewing. Apologies for double ups.

Roosters v Souths, Dragons, Dogs, Broncos
Dogs v Dragons, Parra, Broncos
Tigers v Souths, Dogs, Dragons
Parra v Storm, Penrith, Dogs
Broncos v Titans, Cowboys, Storm
Storm v Dragons, Parra, Sea Eagles
Dragons v Dogs, Raiders, Broncos
Sea Eagles v Dragons, Tigers, Souths

Eels/Doggies rivarly is almost a farce these days with the Eels owning these clowns in most of the past 10 games, this will also continue next year as the Doggies put out a disgraceful backline who cannot tackle.

Plod plod you go Doggies

They've all being mentioned, but I think the Roosters v Saints ANZAC Day clash has always being the biggest game of the year in my opinion. Can't think of another game that gets as much media build up as that one. Not even Parra v Dogs, Raiders v Tigers, Manly v Storm or Broncos v Titans get as much coverage and excitement. This coming year it will be even bigger. And I'll be sitting there, with my season tickets on the sideline just behind the players tunnel:D

Games I look forward too for Parra is against St George, Penrith, Bulldogs, Tigers and Manly.

I think docbrown's exercise behind this is to work out which games should be locked in for definite time slots from the release of the draw. Some being at big stadiums.

Parra vs Penrith should always be on a Sunday arvo. Always.

Here's a question:

What are the biggest club games of the year - and when should they be played? I'm talking about traditional derbies/rivalries, new rivalries, blockbuster games, grand final replays, or games for special occassions etc
Matches like Broncos vs Cowboys, Rabbitohs vs Roosters, Dragons vs Sharks et al.

I believe we should be ensuring that all these major rivalries are played twice a season home and away - and that fans should be able to know exactly when these matchs will be on (dates and times) before the season starts.

For example - I think it would be interesting to play the grand final replay at the loser's home ground in April and then the return game at the winner's home ground a week or two later. Playing grand final replays past the midpoint of the season diminishes their significance, as it's a whole new game by that point - but fresh at the start of the season - you can feed of last year's passion.

Any how - any thoughts?

LOL thanks for the laugh.

Roosters v St George will be a not to be missed game next year.
Roosters v Souths and Manly also.
Souths v Tigers and Manly I enjoy watching
Saints v Souths
Roosters v Tigers
Manly v Tigers

Pretty much any match between those sides as well As Dogs v Parra.

As a neutral Broncos V Warriors is always a big and good game with something going on. Knights v Dragons too.

The games that should be promoted heavily this year are the ones involving the teams from sydney's west - Bulldogs, tigers, eels and panties. All teams with big chances of finals footy plus if crowds and media crush is big it will show the GWS farce who is boss in Sydney.

Raiders v Dragons, Raiders v Tigers and Raiders v Panthers are big for us.

Hmmm, not really at least not as big as it was say in 2003.

Still big for us - because we just love beating you arrogant merkins.

Of course to you, we are just a pissant little club. But we are ok with that - just makes victory all the sweeter.

Our three biggest games of the year are Broncos, Manly and Saints, with Dogs, Storm and Eels on the second tier.

Any games involving a combo of Easts, Souths, West Tigers and Saints are the games I find most exciting

The Roosters Dragons/Dogs/Rabbits are a given...I think you can add Tigers (as mentioned by southern) to the list after being beaten 4 times last year.
