Thread title all wrong -- not biggest upset ever, cronulla still have an okay team, some talent and tough players, and roosters are not in great form etc.

however, "best comeback ever" contender for sure. Considering they were rank outsiders AND 24 nil down near half time.

Any roosters fan who doesn't mark last night down as one of the most embarrassing losses in the history of the club is kidding themselves.

I've never witnessed a more embarrasing loss. And that's coming from a man whose seen us habv 50 put past us by a f**king Chris Sandow led sharks, plus go down 56 zip against bloody Manly.

Every roosters player to a man should be hanging their heads in shame tonight. If we don't take this as the kick up the arse they've been desperately needing and turn in contender performances from our very next game then you can write us off for the rest of the year.

We played you into form in the first meeting this year, so it seems fitting that we (hopefully) take that away.

This was a truly sad spectacle. Moa, Aubuisson and Casty played their hearts out.

I have never seen such a drastic turn around in a match.

I look forward to the complete Roosters playing cohort, when reconstituted on field in two weeks from now, finally showing some of their 2013 form, and crashing their way into the top 2.

Quite a few times in recent years when a side is paying in excess of $8 they have won; I remember Penrith were paying $9 vs Storm last season in Melbourne and Penrith won and there was couple others as well.

Roosters were missing:

Roger Tuivasa-Sheck
Michael Jennings
Daniel Tupou

(that is 3/4 of the three quarter line)

Boyd Cordner
Aiden Guerra

(that is 1/2 of the back row)

Anthony Minichiello for half the game.

That means they were missing one third of their regular roster in the second half.

The only Roosters players who were playing well were Sonny Bill Williams, Mitchell Aubuisson, Sam Moa, and Remi Casty.
shall we get you the whaaaambulance?

stop making excuses

I'm a Broncos fan and say well done sharks players on the last two weeks, after all the crap the club and fans have gone through this year, don't listen to sour a holes like the muppet I quoted and enjoy the wins. Hopefully better things ahead from here on for the Sharks and their fans.

I remember when the Cows had their first finals game ever & in Syd (04)against the DOGS.
Given no hope they won.Was a big upset at the time.
But they played brilliantly & got out to a big lead.

To do what the Sharks have done last week & especially this week with players out & giving away enormous leads is still one of the best upsets I have seen.

With all the things happening around the sharks this year I would have to say yes that is the biggest upset in the history of rugby league from what I have seen. I would watch a movie on the sharks season so far. Maybe end the movie at this round.

Beating a full strength Parra at home with a reggie side 37-6 in 2004 would be up there.

But yeah well played Sharkies

Outside of Tupou, Gordon and Graham there was nobody in that Sharks team that has had a serious impact on any game they've played in (and Tupou hasn't had an impact for years). There's a few other solid first graders in that side, but if you take out Gordon and Graham the side probably comes mid-table in NSW Cup.

They have a few young outside backs that have big futures, Gagan and Leutele for mind.
