Brown isn't the problem, he wasn't here in 2015 so the fact that we're currently sitting on 2 straight wooden spoons isn't his doing. Whilst he oversaw a 1.5 - 22.5 record last year he did what he was asked to do which was to put a broom through the place and get rid of anyone who was phoning it in, and to be honest I'm surprised he managed it as quickly as he did. If you look at our roster now it's almost unidentifiable compared to what we finished 2015 with. Even if he had kept some of those experienced guys on board for a bit longer I still think we only would only have won 5-6 games maximum last year which still wouldn't be enough to keep us away from the spoon.
It's looking like it's between us, Tigers & Titans to get the spoon this year (3 NRL owned clubs funnily enough - but that's a another can of worms) and I can cope with getting our third on the trot but I need to see at least 5-6 wins and at least a strong finish to the season coupled with some promising signings.
I've given up on us securing a "superstar" because it just doesn't look like it's going to happen while we're nailed to the bottom of the ladder but if we can buy enough Buhrer/Kostjasyn type players to at least lift us off the bottom of the ladder then I think we can expect elite players to take notice. Unfortunately I feel this may not happen for another couple of years at this rate and Brown's head might be on the chopping block by then. I really hope that doesn't happen though because so far he's been very unlucky with the cards that he's been dealt.
