 At the end of the day, that is what the judiciary is saying.

"Don't go in low, hit with the shoulder and drive up with the legs."

"Wait 'til he's being held by your team mate and belt him in the head 6 times!"

3 weeks for option 1.

0 weeks for option 2.

Im a supporter. He has shown that he has talent, in both his recent games in particular he has had stand out performances. HIghlighting his discipline problems as a reason to not offer him a contract is like saying dont offer a contract to Nutley or Bailey for their problems #-o . Its stupid, it can be fixed and make a good player even better

Add 1 more to that.

You can add another,
I can see the potential he has and I thought the tackle was just a great hit, the sort of hit that ET put on several times in almost every game of his career. His arms and shoulder were around the waist his head beside the hip all the way through the tackle, absolute copybook.

If there are no more charges similar Bird will have every right to feel very hard done by, but if there are more charges I think League will lose a lot more fans.

If this sort of tackle is now illegal then I for one will quickly lose my interest in Rugby League, hard defence is what makes it such a good game. Back when I played casually I would have been forced out of the game because this was the way to put a good hit on (mind you if I wasn’t allowed to do it at least I would probably still have a fully functioning shoulder).
