they were comparing wesser over meerit. Anyhow there's still a bucketload of wingers in the nrl as good as or better than merrit - especially defensively.

Sutton has to be 6 Taylor & Burgess will run off him all day and create havoc for the opposition I cannot see Lang moving a match winner for his natural position. To play Paea at 5/8 would be suicide!

He doesn't have the work ethic to be a backrower.

Definately a 6, those hands of his are magic and you can always improve kicking skills(well to a degree).

Only other option would be centre but that would be a waste.

Burgess off the bench is ludicrous, him Taylor, Crocker & Roy must start, fill in the gaps elsewhere.

Yes Baron, it was a strange Xmas, not a real one so to speak because someone at home got sick and I had to take that person to the doctors and hospital, so the Xmas dinner was consumed by two people at about 11pm on Christmas night.

There wasnt one really big present opening, it was done in dribs and drabs, here and there, there was no ceremony... the tree still sits there, symbolic of the Xmas we didnt have!

But hey, the kids and everyone are now 100%, Im still on hols (sort of), so Ive got nothing to whinge about.

My Xmas was spent down with the Mrs family and was a lot better then I thought - except that damn drizzle all day......

Edit: In all fairness Hunters RE errors and missed tackles imparticular the tackles that fullbacks are made to make are generally of much tougher standard, and more often then not in 2-3/1 situations.

I have seen Max cut down plenty of guys in one-on-one situations and I have seen us win games for the whole side based solely on his defence.

This weird myth that Max has some kind of defensive questions, take it from me and all the Souths faithful who watch most if not all of his games, this myth is a lie and it is bullsh*t.

The selectors dont like him. He didnt help himself with his mundine racial comment a few years ago, sure but at the end of the day, he is the man I want beside or behind me out on the park with 120kg behemoths are running right me.

Technique, style and heart= everything.

Max is the truth, hes the defensive real-deal who just so happens to be able to attack like lightning.

I would bet my life and my kids life on it. I cant get tougher than that.

I've seen Luke Capewell play at 6 numerous times and he is a natural 6. I don't know why you guys don't rate him although I have to admit I haven't seen him play in the 6 jersey for a while now that they use him at fullback. He has potential to be a regular first grader in the five-eighth position. He was very dominant there in 2008 when he first moved down from QLD.

Well Dave I'll certainly bow to your Souths knowledge, God(Russell Crowe haha) knows you watch their games much more closely then my good self.

And shall do for NYE down to Brighton for dinner then the 9am fireworks and home to watch the main ones on TV.

I have to say I really didn't rate Nathan too much except as a solid winger and a great finisher but I'll be sure to be paying closer note in 2010 to see what they hype about the speedster is!

Thing is though NT, when he left us to go to the Sharks, he wasn't much defensively.

He came back and had bulked up quite a bit and was a completely different player.

And he hasn't looked back since.
