The only time it was acceptable to change teams outside a merger or getting the punt was the super league era, my old man changed from Penrith to my team Balmain on the back of the panthers selling out.

When Penrith joined the comp, a good percentage of their fans were in all likelihood already fans of other teams. Not that there was many back then.

Not that different.

I started following Parramatta when I was a kid because my uncle said they were "sh*thouse" when I asked him why he followed them.

I changed to Wests a few years after I moved to the Cambelltown area and went to plenty of games with my old man, a Wests man since the 1950's. Always, they were my second side and even though I was a Parra supporter at the time, no one wanted them to beat the f**k out of Manly more than me in the 1970's.

Changing was natural for me. It can be for other people too.

I utterly hate everyone else and if we don't win the comp i just hope someone from as far away as possible wins it so i don't have to drive down some decorated street in grand final week, nor hear someone telling me they are the champs. If only Ulan Bator had an NRL side

No wonder our club is in the pathetic state it's in when we have soul-less, passionless, club hopping , apathetic blow ins. Say what you like about the eye ties but when their clubs start going sh*t they are down at the training ground letting them know about it.

We have some spastic propagandist telling us we've rebuilt someone's backyard and a group of mongs discussing what banner they can make for Shannon McDonnell

I was a light follower of rugby league back then as I was new to the game... I wasn't brought up on footy.. I found it late in life.

I think in that case its safe to say I chose what team I felt passionate about as I grew to understand the game.

When anyone played Manly, they were my second team for that day. I really dislike only Manly and Melbourne. I hate losing to all of them but I don't hate them. Wests and Manly's decade-long blue was great stuff.

I f**king hate hate AFL and I hate Rugby Union with a passion. Anything negative I feel toward any Rugby League team pales in comparison, so hate is not the right word.

If we ever get to where Italian Soccer is, as far as fan violence goes, I'll dress up as Julian Clary and go follow the f**king the mexican shirt-lifer's game.

All i know is that the Balmain Tigers are a low club. They are in the same mould as the Roosters, i grew up in the heart of Balmain territory, played in the Balmain juniors and played Harold Matthews for them, but they don`t give a f**k about their juniors, never have and never will !!!

Broke at lidcombe, move to campbelltown, broke again, copping 50 every week and would have got punted save for Balmain merging with you (fact is Balmain would have made it and wests were gone)

As for the great campbelltown juniors .. where would we be without shannon mcdonnell and the f**king wests dinosaurs that are running WT into the ground ?
