Who cares if he did bite him? Shove your forearm in my face and I'll fkn bite it.
I had a personal rule similar to that about fishhooks. You put your finger in my mouth, all bets are off. Never had to enforce it, I would bite down and hold, they always withdrew the finger.

He clearly bit him and he should get a minimum of 3 weeks. I’d say 4, but minimum 3 for sure. There has to be consequences for that type of shit.

Listening to Mal suggesting that Proctor was fearful for his life and was left with no other choice was the best laugh I had all day.

It was interesting when they brought up the footage of Bromwich biting The Dugan. Footage showed him clearly biting him, Cecchin just put him on report, no send-off. “Somehow” Bromwich didn’t get a single week suspension because he was wearing a mouthguard and didn’t puncture the skin?! What a f**ken joke. They really did/do get away with carte blanche.

Ryles gets suspended for an obstruction and this purple grub bites someone, yeah no worries pal, you’re good to go.

Anyway, that’s my Cecchin/Storm whinge for tonight. :hugging:

I’m going “no bite” at $13,000.

I reckon he bit him, hopefully today starts the ‘if you bite someone you get sent off’ era.
I don’t think it will though.
Ideally the NRL won’t have to deal with this kind of thing again.
I'd prefer to see the 'if you eye gouge someone you get sent off era"

Didnt Proctor claim that he couldnt breathe because Johnsons forearm was around his throat?

If thats the case automatically you open your mouth the catch a breath. Johnsons forearm just happened to be there.

There's only 2 people who really know what happened in this case.

It was a clear bite. There were teeth marks sighted by the referee, and the video referee saw footage of the bite.

First player to be sent off for a bite? That surprises me. If there is evidence available to onfield/video officials that a bite occurred, it should be a send off every time.

The footage is there for all to see. The choke is the arm around his nose and mouth. Proctor probably does struggle to breath and bites down on the arm momentarily. He doesnt even deny it. Mouthguard is in. Dunno whether that leaves teethmarks or not.

I think it's Graham that calls it out to the ref which stops the play. They both call each other sooks.

Proctor being ex storm may get the Bromwich discount

Bizare indeed. Someone has a mouth guard in his mouth, a forearm comes across his mouth & he then moves his head further towards his forearm, not away & he can't breathe. All while his nose in unobstructed.
