Underwhelmed

Totally with Iafeta. He was a good player in 2010/2011 but barely caused a ripple since.

Slight upgrade to Jono. Thats about all i can say.

He might have a point to prove, opinions mixed but I don't see why he can't do a job. at the Wright hate, for all his 'plod' and the selective highlighting of some errors he's outperformed those being given wraps.

No problem here, experience added to a glaring weak area

This. For a guy who was probably 6th/7th on the depth chart before the start of the season he did a job for the majority of the time. Considering he was a second tier contract he played above expectations/pay grade.

If we can convince Beau Ryan to come out of retirement now his tv career is over and take the other centre position then we may ..... just may be looking at the dream team.

I think with Wright, Ayshford and Ryan on board, id be happy to release Hurrell and Kata to the Roosters.

Im so excitied with where the warriors are heading im going to **** myself to sleep tonight.

P.s ... im not hinting that the Roosters are talking to Hurrell at the moment about 2016 either.......... not at all .......

At this stage I don't know how to feel on this signing

Split opinions is interesting

We will see what happens. Hurrell better step and grow the f**k up as his days are numbered. This management not favoring him at all it seems

Yeah but where's the merit in 'plodding back outperforms overhyped supposed star'? I don't hate Wright but he's exactly the sort of guy you're not winning a premiership with. And forget about depth, he's in our starting line-up next year. Both Ayshford and Wright are. That scares me. Wright is an awful finisher, no pace, not a metre eater, suspect hands and a reputation for being defensively solid that he wouldn't have if his skin was brown (sorry, it's the truth IMO). And Ayshford was good for a time in 2010-11 - ie when we were last good (long time ago eh).

We can't know if Ayshford is week in, week out better than Kata/Hurrell because he played 4 games in 2015 - and presumably didn't set the world on fire.

This is a real nowhere land signing for me, same as Wright. Either we signed a genuine first-grader (don't get it wrong, Ayshford is not one) or we backed ourselves to make the kids with potential we have into exactly that. But we see the same dumb defensive errors every year, or at least we have since 2011 and our last good coach.

I hope Kon wakes up over the off-season and demands to be picked. And I hope Fusi does the same.

Bit of a meh signing for me.
If he can reach that form he had once at the Tigers, then great.
If not, then its a Jono Wright mk II signings - that in itself isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it's not a great thing. Wouldn't want too many of them in the team, but then again not every single signing will be a worldbeater.

It could be to replace Hurrell, his management have asked the Warriors for a release from the remainder of his contract.

They asked a couple weeks ago and were denied. Unless they asked again.

If we can find a replacement and aren't paying his salary then sure, otherwise I don't see it happening

I can't say I watched the Warriors closely in the last 6 - 8 weeks but up until that point wasn't Kata one of your best? Now it looks like most wouldn't have him in the 13? What happened to the guy?

Think too much was asked of him in year 1 tbh he will be ok given good coaching which is the big question

Hurrell is the bigger worry IMO

He was never a brilliant defender, but Kata certainly dropped off in the second half of the season.

He was never meant to play as many games as he did in his rookie year but injuries in the outside backs left us with no choice. At one point we had Peyroux/Wright on an edge and Wright was at best our 6th choice outside back, let alone talking about Peyroux.

Disagree that ayshford and Wright are locked in as starters next year. That will be up to Konnie and Kata whether they come back ready to train hard and improve on their deficiencies. Everyone knows both those guys have so much more talent but they need to want it and show it.

Kata will be there, the coach loves him. That's the left side with Manu sorted.

The other side, are Wright's and Ayshford's to lose. The coach can't be f**ked managing or coaching Kon properly, and rumour is his management have asked out more than once.

Maybe Hurrell can't be managed or coached properly, a poor man's Ballotelli?

Much as I don't rate McFadden, Hurrell is clearly an adolescent dick
