Its a beautiful day here in sydney. It will get a bit cold tonight but it will still be a fantastic game, perfect conditions for the players, hardly any wind so the highball will be very important and there can't be any real excuses.

If Dagg and Carter kick well they will be able to isloate Beale and take away his attacking flair, but Beale is that much of a freak he will do some good stuff tonight from the back. Expect a good running game of rugby.

i dont mean to be disrespectful to the Wallabies... but we were pretty poor tonight.

despite the fact we were really playing at 60%... the wallabies never looked like beating us.

It was closer than you've made out and closer than most people thought it would be. If the Aussies could only score twice without letting in a soft AB counter then they had a chance where really, after the first half, they should have had none. Aussie centres defended well and the forwards played well all round. When we had the ball we didn't use it with ultra-slow clearance from second and third phase ball and just bad options - kicking in attacking positions and running from our own 22. It was a frustrating test.

What was the penalty count? Too much stop start. Rugby union a game where you can have the ball 10 out from your own line and get penalised. That match last night wasn't entertaining. In some matches the refs take centre stage.

For all the chest beating the Wallabies were within 6 on what - 3 occasions in the second half? Maybe the AB's should've smashed such an inept side, but they couldn't.

Go off the scorelines and not the headlines. It was getting close a few times in the second half. fact.

It got close but NZ was never going to lose...Beale was poor as was Genia...both are overated hacks IMO.
