I hate getting ahead of myself, but in 2011 in a pre-season trial we are going to stage the "Cavalier All Stars" against the locals.
The All Stars team is to be coached by Arthur Beetson, (he has agreed already) and will feature ALL the players who have turned out in Pie in Sky weekends, yes Stagger, even Snoopy will be playing, and Tookey...
It will be a perfect launch for the Club to be fully ready for entry into Group 20 with a full hand of teams, bringing into fruition the dreams of the Hay Club, Group 20 and of course the CRL for the Magpies to become a super Club in this the last bastion of Rugby League in this part of the State.
We are also thinking of extending invitations to Peter Wynn, Mick Cronin and Bob O'Reilly who created a huge impression in the town in 1980..A sort of re-union...

I picked mine up last night and thought it was pretty decent.

After reading the forums, my expectations were surpassed.

I'll get good use out of the cooler bag.

The keyring is pretty good.

The cap, while not as good quality as previous years st caps, is still decent enough to wear to games. I was expecting it to be falling apart.

Stickers and tatts? I'll probably give them to the kid that has the seat next to me.

Would I pay $70 for all that? No.

But as an add on to my ticket/membership its satisfactory.

My point exactly. They will definitely not get the renewal of the extra blue blood pack I purchased this year.

Same here. I thought the cap was decent enough quality, I'm using the key ring, and while not essential I'll get use from the cooler bag (work lunch box).

I actually disagree. STHs have received caps included as part of their deal for some time, without it costing an extra $70 increase (or a $45 increase, if you factor out the $25 FC membership component - which came with it's own key ring anyway).

I'm just laughing because you are entirely correct Suity. No offence intended.

I'd used my four FC badges all as key rings, just by taking off whatever attachment was on the metal ring originally, and sticking my FC badges there in it's place. Got so used to it I'd assumed they'd issued a key ring, not a badge.

Maybe in previous years the FC should have given a ring as well, in the same way this year's lanyard really should have come with a plastic pouch of some description?

Yes, you're correct there Mickdo. My apologies - all this talk of the pack's value had me confused.

My STH appears to have gone up by $20 (fair enough). So my comment above in reply to Fishy about about increased cost to STHs isn't valid.

But concerns about the stated/perceived value of the $70 pack/$45 merchandise still remains.
