Er, we signed Roque for 18m (count em) in the same window we signed Adebayor, Tevez, Kolo, Barry, and Lescott. So it wasn't a money issue.

Is it a coincidence that we have been operating with the exact same defensive players this season as we did at the beginning of last (with the exception of a handful of games to Boateng and Kolarov), yet are now the best defense in the league?

Which of the following Mancini signings have stated they want to leave? Vieria? Johnson? Yaya Toure? Asian Dave Silva? Kolarov? Boateng? Balotelli?

Anyone who says that Clueless Hughes was doing a good job and/or is a better manager than Mancini needs to give the game away.

I thought they signed Roque earlier so my bad on that one.

When you play a flat back 9 with Tevez up front your defence is going to improve. Did you see the games vs United and Arsenal, your coach is scared to attack.

Balotelli wants to play for Milan and hates it over here, Yaya Toure has said he never wanted to go to City in the first place and only went for the money. He will be outta there as soon as poss. Johnson has said he may leave as he doesn't get the games. As for Viera, Kolarov and Boeteng they will be on so much more than there talent should demand of they will obviously want to stay.

So about half of them, and no doubt in a season or two when Real/Barca start to sniff around Silva he will suddenly start feeling a little homesick also.

Article in the English press that Mancini's top January target is Gareth Bale.

All I can say is, "good luck".

Unfortunately for them, unless a club offers a ridiculous amount to Tottenham (and even then it's slim pickings) there is no chance Bale will leave.

Interesting on Barcelona though.

No, the article said that Mancini said he would be extremely interested if Bale came on the market (which is obvious, every team would get out their chequebooks if a player of Bale's quality was available). He also commented on the interest of Juventus and said Bale would improve the Juve squad. I believe it was around the same time Mancini confirmed he had no interest in Gigi Buffon.

we've had a lot of interest in Bale and Modric and Harry has said they are not for sale at any price

its taken a while to build our squad and it makes no sense to sell of our best players

This.

Besides, Bale doesn't suit the way we play.

That's why we've netted 6 more goals than those ultra-attacking, devil-may-care, free-scoring Tottenham Globetrotters?

Wait till you play them. All we have had in the media is boring United vs the greatest attacking team since Cavemen developed wing backs.

For a great attacking team they have done a good job of not scoring as many goals as other teams.

I actually agree with both of you guys, we do play very attacking footy, we just dont have world class strikers like you guys which is why we wont get any better.

Our best two strikers are Bale and VDV who are actually midfielders with about 9 goals each.

I think our 4 strikers have about 5 or 6 goals between them this season.

Watch out if we ever get a decent striker.

Villa 1-0.:lol::lol: All is not lost, however. You may just be able to hold a top 4 spot ahead of Chel$ki and/or Tottenham. Joke of a club.
