Congrats boys.

I don't think you'll find many people who support the way you made it to the top but i think most people will agree that you were the best team all season.

European football is holding its breath as Roberto Mancini prepares a sensational double swoop for Robin van Persie and Eden Hazard. City’s success in landing their two top targets will set the tone for a massive summer of spending for their rivals at home and abroad. Mancini is desperate to tie up deals for Hazard and Van Persie as soon as possible as he attempts to turn Premier League success into Champions League glory. He expects to know by the end of the week if he has been successful in securing the transfers, which will be worth in the region of £60m combined. Chairman Khaldoon al-Mubarak has said there is no need to spend the lavish sums of previous summers, because the squad is already strong, but Mancini wants more top names. Mancini said: “Barcelona and Real Madrid every year buy two or three players and spend a lot of money. I think for Manchester City it will be the same. We need to improve. We need to have the strength to play Champions League and Premier League.” But he will not be the only one watching with interest, with Sir Alex Ferguson among Europe’s top managers left waiting before he can finalise his own rebuilding plans.

They might as well. They are going to fail the FFP rules so i think they are hoping UEFA don't have the bottle to ban them.

Yaya Toure wants to leave btw. He has earned his money, now he wants to go back to Spain.

"ROBERTO MANCINI has confirmed Mario Balotelli is STAYING at Manchester City," blares the Sun. "The former Inter Milan striker was linked with a move back to Serie A following his sending off in the defeat at Arsenal, with Mancini admitting he would “probably” sell him.

"And reports in Italy have claimed AC Milan were weighing up a swap deal involving him and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

"But Mancini played down the speculation and said: 'Ibra is a great player but I don’t think Milan want to sell him.

“'Mario has been very clear and I reiterate, Balotelli will remain at Manchester 101 per cent.'”

Seems legit

"Roberto Mancini has told Carlos Tevez he will never play for Manchester City again after the Argentine refused to come on as a substitute during his team’s 2-0 defeat at Bayern Munich.
With City trailing to two goals from Mario Gomez, manager Mancini told Tevez to warm up but was stunned when last year’s captain refused.
The altercation with Tevez was clearly seen on television and afterwards the City boss was categoric about the way forward.
Mancini said: ‘For me, if a player plays for Manchester City in the Champions League and earns a lot of money and does this, then he can never play for me again."

that was exactly my point

Hazard agrees to terms with Spurs but club cant agree on valuation, Levy offered 26mill, Lillee wanted 28mill, all depending on CL qualification.

Citeh come sniffing around.

Hazard doubles his wage demands and Citeh offer Lillee 30mill.

What chance do any other clubs have ?

FFP was brought in to avoid this from happening but nothing seems to have changed.

If this continues to run out of control then the Premier League becomes another La Liga with all the other clubs battling for minor places.

Wireman complaining about dollars, did you not break transfer records with Ferdinand, Rooney and allmost with your bench player Berbatov?

United have a billionaire owner, City have a billionaire owner, except ours actually puts money into the club, and doesn't take money out.

If Glazer wiped your debt and gave Fergie 50m each window, you would not complain in the slightest.

It's jealousy, Cliffy. Jealous that City have owners that don't look to make money from the club, like these seppos like Henry and Glazer do.

They are clubs that are in it for the business and business alone.

And that my friend is exactly why the FFP was brought in and why Manure may comply and why Citeh wont.

Again who is complaining about the dollars? I merely stated in response to Twiz that City are going to fail the FFP so may as well keep spending. The hope they must have is that UEFA are going to be as weak as normal.

I know you want me to be upset that City have done something amazing, but sorry its not the case. A rich bloke has bought some players and they happen to wear lazer blue. Could of been Bolton, Wolves, Everton. Anyone.
Meh.

United didn't win anything. It happens.

Oh and stuff the 50 mil a year, debt free would be nice. Hopefully the Singapore float will wipe a lot of the debt off. But thats for a different thread.

First trophy of the season done.

Yep, nice work. The sextuple is still on though ;-)

Would have been interesting if Ivanovic hadn't have been marched. Good solid workout for both teams, should be a pretty good season for both of us...

Few rumours going around that City are closing in on De Rossi... definitely could do with him especially when Yaya Toure is off at ACON or if he gets injured

Imagine de Rossi, Y.Toure and Silva together though.... beastly
