josh jackson isn't doing enough at the moment to push out the incumbents or test players

1. Josh Dugan
2. Brett Morris
3. Josh Morris
4. Michael Jennings
5. Daniel Tupou
6. James Maloney
7. Mitchell Pearce
8. Aaron Woods
9. Robbie Farah
10. Andrew Fifita
11. Beau Scott
12. Ryan Hoffman
13. Paul Gallen
14. David Klemmer
15. Anthony Watmough
16. Boyd Cordner/Nathan Peats
17. Trent Merrin

this side is starting to pick itself for mine. all in good form, and by having beau scott or cordner in the side, it gives us the ability to play an all forward bench and move them to the centres to accomodate any backline issues.

albert albert albert, you still just don't get it. you are picking on club form. keep the majority of the one in a row winners.

You pick on form, not on last year's one off flash in the pan. Hodkinson has proved himself to be a mediocrity this year. The team I have picked is far superior to last year's team on form.

Daley likes combos. You cannot pick the Dogs halves Combo ahead of the Roosters halves combo. You cannot find a left edge combo superior to Jennings and Tupou.

Solid. I'd do Bird to Lock, Gal to Prop, Fifita bench for Cordner.

mate you build on the positive. QLD finally won a series 9 years ago and built on it and kept key players. Blues need to learn which those key players are now (one is gone in Hayne sadly) Picking on form is what killed blues in the past

NSW was not defeated because it picked on form. It was defeated because it lacked the talent. Mitchell Pearce's talent has improved since late last year, while Trent Hodkinson has been exposed as a complete mediocrity. Moreover Hodkinson's partner Josh Reynolds is injured. The in form halves are Pearce and Maloney.

We have to go on form in picking the Blues, and that is what Laurie van Daley will do.

Have you even watched him this year? Robbie Farah "failed" when he had his first couple games before being left out for a year or 2 then had another shot

Snowden would be excellent if he continues his form. He's playing very tough football and would be a much better pick than Tamou

Did you watch those 2 games that he 'failed in'? The first one he was really good in and the second he was off because of a rib injury. He and someone else missed a tackle on Folau and that's started the myth about him not being tough enough for origin. Kade Snowden was an epic fail for his entire rep career, in one game in particular he managed to rack up a massive total of 39 metres :lol1:

Kade just doesn't have it at that level and James Tamou? That guy shouldn't even be playing 1st grade!

The best prop rotation for us would be woods, fifita, klemmer, merrin

Lewis is shot and has been for ages. Watmough will still ut in no matter what. He's the type of player that typifies the blues. Puts the jumper on and grows 2 feet and plays out of his skin.

He certainly didn't do that last year. Did you watch the series? He's just lost his agility and speed.

Hodkinson shits all over that origin failure pearce. His time is over, it's time to look forward and thank ourselves that the dark ages are over.

Lacked the talent? You have had 200 players to choose from that are as talented as the 17 QLDers, on form. The next level, rep footy, is more about desire, going harder for longer than any club game. Players with ticker. Not pea hearts like tony williams.

Some interesting comments from lozza last night in sterlos lounge and yesterday in general..

Only 3 fullbacks in the running, he gave some valid reasons why he prefers club halves combos and he's given jimmy Maloney a huuuuuge wrap

The qld team is just a freak of nature, how often would you get 4 dally M winners who form the spine all being born in the same year and if that wasn't enough you have arguably the 2nd best prop qld have ever produced and the most gifted player to come out of NSW in a decade. When you have that sort of nucleus all being born closely together and hence all being in their primes at the same time its going to be hard to beat. NSW have also shot themselves in the foot a lot too

Fullback contenders
Dugan
Stewart
Hopoate
Tedesco

I couldn't believe Daley saying on sterlo that he is considering matt Moylan .
If Moylan gets anywhere near the team Daley should be sacked and brad fittler becomes the new coach

Moylan is a decent option if they decide on a Reynolds and Hodkinson pairing. He's creative unlike them.
