Season 2 starts in the final week of September I believe. Not far away at all.

I remember at the end of the final episode it said season 2 would start in November, September would be better though.

EDIT: Season 2 premieres in America on the 25th of September, hopefully showcase isn't to far behind that.

Anyone else seen it? I'm halfway through the first season. Brilliant show!

Learnt about the show right here ........DL'd the series

up to ep7

Like it a lot.

Wasn't sure about the Steve Buscemi character at first ....he's grown on me.

Music at the opening credits is great.

Would be a much much better show without all the f**king nonsense about Women's Suffrage.

I thought it was quite boring all in all. The only interesting episodes is when the Jews and Italians get involved imo.

On my "to watch" list. I'm a sucker for anything with the mafia in it and i notice al capone and lucky luciano are characters.

Best show around, the wait for season 2 has been hard, nearly there.

With this, Spartacus, GOT and the wire, it's a bit of a golden age for American TV.

Breaking Bad > Boardwalk Empire. Breaking Bad is really one of those shows that you need to watch a bunch of at a time though. I hate waiting week to week for it!

But Curb Your Enthusiasm > all!

Pretty keen for this new season. If I can avoid the temptation to watch it I'll wait until its finished and get the whole lot so I don't have to wait each week for a new ep.

I watched this, it was OK, found it a bit slow to be honest, but entertaining, the wife loves it.

I'm finding it hard to get into.

Looks beautiful but I just don't care about any of the characters

I think this show would work better in the wire mould of no central character. in the wire you had more in depth storylines centralised on the theme of the series. Mcnulty wasnt really a lead guy. neither was bunk, neither was omar or avon etc. there was no "soprano" in that show and it didnt need it.

In this show...the thompson character, even though Buschemi is very good..isnt really a leading man character. its not a strong enough character IMO to revolve around..the likes of a vick makey or a tony soprano or a walter white or even a don draper etc are the focal point of their respective shows for a reason. the thompson character is kinda like "yeah, he's a fixer...and he's corrupt..but ah. yeah whats jimmy doing in chicago"

meanwhile you have equally (if not stronger) interesting storylines on the periphery. The Jimmy character is well executed and should be in the forefront more. i hope season 2 will have this. likewise id like to see more of the chicago storyline and the Rothstein angle.

meanwhile you have the lunatic fed that whips himself in the back. this character is brilliant. IMO..i love every seen that he's in.
more of huis weird twisted tortured ways for mine. interesting plot twist for him at the end of the series there.

im hopeful for season 2. it has room for improvement but overall its entertaining.
