Who here likes James Bond movies? They're running all this month on Movie Greats and the new one starts filming at the end of the month. My favourite would have to be the first one, Dr. No. Least favourite would probably be Timothy Dalton's second and last one. Licence to Kill.

I don't really have a fav Bond film in all but I do have my favourite per Bond actor bar Lazenby.

Connery era: Goldfinger
Moore era: For your eyes only
Dalton era: Living Daylights
Brosnan era: Goldeneye

I find that Dalton was harshly judged as he only had one decent film in Daylights. I beleive had he had better films he would have been an awesome Bond. LIcense to Kill just didnt seem like a Bond film to me.
My favourite Bond would be Connery and then Brosnan.
Connery because he started it all and I find his films very well made and planned out with the exception of Diamonds are Forever.
Brosnan because he was the Bond I have watched at the movies and came to know in the role.

Agree with you Sunny ... Dr No was the best. I also liked the Japanese one, You Only Live Twice ... that rocked.

I stopped watching them when the Dalton one had Felix from the CIA being eaten alive by a shark and the drug runners ... dont ask me what that one was called ... but it killed the fun for all time for me. Never saw a single Pierce Brosnan one either ... blasphemy !!

Quite frankly, anything post Roger Moore smokes the baloney pony ...

You gotta love the Bond films!

I also love how each actor brought something different to the role - I always thought Connery's Bond was the all-round best, but was more 'hands-on' than Moore's, and Brosnan's was perhaps more sophisticated than the previous Bonds.

But each actor always brought something unique to the role.
