If they were wrong they would be paying out on the bets, not just refunding. The try should be awarded as a penalty try - Channel 9 (and the NRL it would seem)just attributed it to Inglis as a regular try. That's who is wrong.

they are refunding...to save face.... and prevent any litigation...

the wording of the bet option is very poor... and general...punters have a case...

why would the TAb seperate penalty try and normal try ?

it happens so rarely that it only pisses off punters...

Have a look at the payout figure, next time you put a bet on, for a penalty try. It is generally around $151.00. It is an option, has been since 1999 and they quite rightly shouldn't have to pay out just because people are having a sook.

Inglis never actually scored as he didn't cross the line and put the ball down ...Its a penalty try, tab shouldnt pay out on result :Inglis AND result : penalty .Two scenarios . Simple stuff really . Bloody whingers .

It's a business.... the option was poorly worded....they need to remove the penalty try option...

Rule 1 dont piss off the punters / customers

Rule 2 see above

TAB also has a rule that they pay on the official result, which is a Greg Inglis Penalty Try. IAS paid out in full in the "Most Tries" market Inglis V Duggan.
