Ok guys,

Liverpool at Anfailed today, a huge step up in class. B-Dos was also named in the team of the week. Same lineup as the first two games, here we go:

1st min: Gerrard puts that horrible welsh merkin Bellamy through, but his long range shot goes over.
7th: hybrid fouls Bellamy on the edge of the area, instead of shooting Aurelio sprays it out to Hyypia who squares it to Sissoko who is 6 yards out and makes no mistake. SD with absolutely no chance. 1-0 Scousers.
11th: Bellamy dives in the box...Penalty!! lolesi gives away a penalty and LU could be in huge trouble here as Gonzales steps up...2-0
14th: hybrid swings in a corner, it bobbles out the back to B-Dos whose shot looks destined for the net...but this is Football Manager, and Reina is crazily overrated and comes from nowhere to make the save. Corner LU.
18th: Bellamy's angled shot is saved by SD, the ball comes loose and play is eventually stopped through NP fouling Alonso.
19th: NP frees Bumble down the left with a fantastic ball, Bumble bangs in a cross to the head of Phillips...but Agger outjumps him with the goal begging.
23rd: Bellamy gets free down the left a slots it calmly beyond the keeper. LU are in absolute tatters here and it's 3-0.
30th: Ball breaks to Xabi Alonso about 30 yards from goal..who unleashes a long range effort which sails beyond SD. 4-0...wtf?

Half Time: Borussia LU have nominated with 57% possession, but find themselves down 4-0 to the filthy hubcaps. There looks to be no way back in this one.

LU need to attack, hybrid (who picked up a Yellow) is off, Poupou is on.

51st: Bellamy has another shot saved by SD.
52nd: NP hits a free kick on the edge of the box...it floats harmlessly wide.
58th: robyalvaro fires a 60 yard long ball right to Phillips...who scores! 4-1 and can LU salvage something?
59th: Quick passes from Bumble and weasel leave Ridders unmarked right on the edge of the box...but his shot floats over. Should've done better.
87th: Gerrard has a shot from close range parried away by SD.
89th: Kuyt is through...SD saves.
93rd: Kuyt is through again...and again, SD saves. on the follow up, the ref finds a push against robyalvaro and Liverpool have another ridiculous penalty call. Kuyt steps up and scores.

FULL TIME: LIVERPOOL 5 - BORUSSIA LU 1

Goals: Phillips

Assists: robyalvaro

A stunning result, where LU had more possession but Liverpool just used the ball better. LU will need to regroup, and with Twizzle back from injury next week the defence will be stronger.

Now we travel to Ewood Park to play Blackburn. NP is in good form, scoring a double for Australia against Lebanon during the week. B-Dos is away with Senegal, so hybrid moves to left back and Twizzle comes into the centre, back from injury.

First Half:
12th: lolesi wins a ball, finds Twiz in the middle who lays it up for weasel...Friedel saves..the ball bobbles out to Bumble, but his shot is saved again by Friedel!
31st: weasel puts Bumble through but the defense is coming across and he has to blast it from the angle...fingertip save!
36th: Gamst flights a free kick in to the near post and Borgetti gets a flick on to it and it goes in! LU are stunned, they've dominated the game and now they trail. 1-0.
37th: From the kick off, Bumble, Phillips and weasel play a neat 1-2-3 before weasel sends it back to Bumble, who sends the ball beyond Friedel!! LU hit back immediately and it's 1-1!!
39th: Borgetti's header loops over harmlessly.
42nd: Great save from a long Borgetti shot by SD.

Half Time: It's 1-1 and LU are the dominant side. Get they get the win?

Dutchy and Stonecutter on, weasel and Ridders off.

47th: Dutchy gets in some space but his shot is way off target.
49th: lolesi does the exact same.
53rd: Jason Roberts gets through...SD parries it!
60th: Bumble almost gets a "Paul Konchesky" with his sliced cross nearly eluding Friedel.
63rd: Dutchy and roby play a 1-2, before Dutchy gives it to Stonecutter who fires in a piledriver which Friedel somehow gets a hand to.
65th: Unbelievable goal for LU!! hybrid receives a back heel from Dutchy, beats two defenders and finds Stonecutter, who looks to shoot from the edge of the area but instead goes wide and beats 4 or 5 defenders before playing a short pass to Phillips who simply could not miss. LU in front!!
80th: NP plays a little ball to Bumble, who sends Stonecutter away! He outpaces 3 of them before squaring it to Phillips who again, couldn't miss. 3-1!!
86th: Gamst's shot goes harmlessly over.
88th: Bumble puts lolesi through in the box, but his shot blazes over.

FULL TIME: BLACKBURN ROVERS 1 - BORUSSIA LU 3

Goals: Bumble, Phillips 2

Assists: weasel, Stonecutter 2

LU dominated but trailed, but hit back almost straight away and kicked on after half time. A great debut for Stonecutter, coming off the bench and laying on 2 goals for Phillips.

Same here, but I guess I ain't as bad. I'm 17 and I'm apparently 20? Doesn't matter too much.

Good win vs Blackburn, but wtf happened vs Liverpool? What's wrong with the defence. They're making me look bad. :x

Home to the Villa, a few changes. lolesi is on the bench, weasel moves to the right and Stonecutter will play in the middle. B-Dos is back at LB, hybrid to RB and robyalvaro to the bench. Kiwishark is off the bench.

First Half:

7th Min: Baros fires in a shot with SD saves, but Juan Pablo Angel of all people is on hand to score the rebound. LU down early.
18th: Davis' shot sails over.
19th: Bumble pinches the ball from Laursen, but tries to shoot instead of passing to the open Phillips and a goal is wasted.
31st: hybrid wins a header down for Stonecutter who puts Bumble through, but he shoots far too high.
32nd: Stonecutter again sends it to Bumble, but he squares it to Phillips this time whose 30 yard missile is just tipped away by Taylor.
38th: Angel beats the offside trap, but SD saves his shot easily.
41st: Oh ffs. The most useless player in the history of the EPL has got a double. Bouma fires in a cross and Angel gets one of those gay little backheaders that work in the game all the time, but you know just don't happen in real life. LU in tatters...2-0.

Half time: And LU have it all to do. Poupou comes on for Tonearm as LU look to push forward and try to get back into the match.

47th: weasel's corner is met by Stonecutter whose header is somehow tipped over by Taylor.
54th: Bouma's header goes straight at SD. Ridders off, Dutchy on.
59th: Luke Moore's shot is turned away by SD.
62nd: Baros shoots from range...what a waste of time.
65th: Baros is through again, but a rushing SD puts him off and the shot goes wide.
68th: Stonecutter's piledrives goes just over. Time running out for LU.
81st: Another stop from SD, again from Moore.
83rd: Cahill's shot goes well wide.

FULL TIME: BORUSSIA LU 0 - ASTON VILLA 2

And our first home defeat, an awful performance.

57th: Ball drops to Kiwishark on the edge of the box, but Day makes an amazing save from the ensuing shot.
64th: lolesi's header hits the bar!
75th: Kiwishark hits a wickedly bending shot, but it goes over.
81st: The keeper takes the goal kick...but it's a shocker which goes straight to Poupou, who runs through and scores!! 1-0 and LU's blushes are spared.
88th: The Devil punches away a dangerous looking cross before Hackett's shot blazes over.
90th: lolesi plays it off a defender for the corner, but Dutchy's eventual shot is poor.

A dominant performance, but only a narrow win. Still, through to the next round!
