Both Games.

I am a 50/50 supporter of both codes, and in my opinion, the union game was far more entertaining. More rugged defence, a closer contest. The league game really disapointed me. Was hoping for a cliffhanger. What are other 50/50 Union/league fans opinions?

It might be one of those rare occasions were the coma ball produced a better match but not the better spectacle.

I didn't watch the Union, because the bastard commentators for the Rugby League told us who won  #-o

Not having seen Oz/England in Union, i thought the All Blacks game beat up big time on the league on this occasion.

I watched the rugby union between the 20th and 40th minute.

The ball handling skills were crap. England didn't know how to organise themselves in attack. All in all it felt like a scrappy game.

nah, the League was far more entertaining. It just goes without saying.

Of course, my opinion may be more valid if I had actually watched the Union.

Union is always rubbish... an exciting end in the union via 2 penalty goals?????? Sure! Believe that if you like.........

That is because the union was telecast before the league....

You know... it's funny when Australia beats Namnobodies 150-0 in union, it is "a great celebration of rugby". When NZ beats France 50-5 in union it is "a magnificent contest with the amazing All Blacks showing their strength, power and skill".

When Australia beat Great Britain 44-4 in league, "international rugby league is dead...."   :? :? :?

You have to feel sorry for the Poms, but you can't write them off for one bad game, they should of had a defeat like that earlier on and they might have prepared better, I think they actually went into that game a little overconfidant after reading all the good press about themselves.
Don't forget QLD and NSW have both been belted in SOO at various times and have been able to come back, I think the Poms and New Zealand will both be better off for the Tri Nations.

The League game was easily better to watch (the skill on show was phenomenal, just look at those tries!), though not much of a contest.

Union was a scrappy, boring kick-fest once again decided on penalty goals (England scored more tries, but Australia scored a heap of penalties to win).

League might have been boring for some 2 watch because it was dominant by one team so there wasn't much competition, whereas union was closer. but because i don't like union i am still saying the league match was better! :D
