Bott's Try - Surely there was a knock-on

Waded through seven pages of Raiders fans bitching and a couple of Broncos fans responding in kind and couldn't believe that this incident didn't rate a mention. In that pinball mess leading up to Bott's try, Berrigan (I think) was held and flicked it back. Then Stagg (again, I think) put his hand out and the ball dropped to the ground and bounced forward before being regathered and sent to Bott for the try. I didn't see a Raiders hand near it, Mander called it a knock-back and didn't refer it to the VR, but it looked more of a knock-on than even a line-ball, certainly wasn't a knock-back.

Am I missing something?

Not sure if it was knocked on or not, camera angle wasnt the best. Mander obviously had a better veiw.
But you gotta wonder why it wasnt sent upstairs because in this day and age most refs ask for a replay just to check if a player had his mouth open or closed whilst scoring a try.
Chances are it still would be called a try....just strange it wasnt even looked at.

LOL Broncos seem to be getting bagged a lot about what happened last night but when it comes down to it who got the 2 points. And dont say the refs and officials love the broncos because that is bullsh*t they dont love anyone they are paid professionals. Broncos got 2 canberra got 0.

At first glance I thought it may have been a knock on by Stagg on the ground when he first dived to the ball before battering it to Bott. Haven't seen a great angle of it though to judge whether it went forwards or backwards, I was surprised that it wasn't sent to the video ref.

But geez, just how much do we want to rip this game apart and look for nit picky little things? The Broncos won, their defence was brilliant and they looked the more dangerous side on attack (Helps when they have the ability to actually break the line), live with it.

If you read the thread its about why the ref didnt ask for a replay to a try that had a ball bouncing all over the place.

Where did I say they were getting bagged. This is about the 6th or 7th thread on the one game, it's become ridiculous, theres hardly a minute or incident that hasn't been picked apart now.

Salivor i wasnt refering to you, i was refering to Bullrider when he/she said "LoL, Bronco's seem to be getting bagged alot...." The original post is questioning why an incident wasnt sent to the video ref, thats all.

At first viewing, I thought Stagg had knocked on before passing to Bott, but on the replays, I think he just let it bounce, then picked it up cleanly. I was surprised Mander didn't use the video ref but he obviously saw exactly what happened and could award the try himself.

I think it should've gone to the Video Ref too, however on replays he seemed to have gotten the right call.

However I was only at the game.

No everything went against the Raiders as was shown in the lop sided 7 all penalty count against them.
