Congratulations to Boyd. Not many players out there get the chance to represent our great state in the biggest contest of them all, State Of Origin!! Boyd will be there on Wednesday night and will do us proud, no doubt.

Congrats to him. I gave him a lot of crap the last couple of years but he's come on well this year and I'd rather have a specialist winger in the Qld side than trying to stick Slater out there who is probably even smaller than Boyd anyway.

Given the choice who would you have in your side ... Boyd or Hunt.

In effect the selectors, in their wisdom, have chosen Boyd.

They have shafted the potent combination between Lockyer and Hunt for a 20-year-old winger who's played perhaps 10 decent games.

Boyd's improved, but not that much.

The selectors in "their wisdom" know that Hunt is much more value to this side on the bench as he can cover virtually every position bar prop if called upon ala Shaun Berrigan.

Also "in their wisdom" actually picked a winger. I hate nothing more than centres or fullbacks being put on the wing. I am less worried now that Slater is not on the wing. I think you will see Hunt start the match though.
