I do not condone Morrin's actions. He's a filthy grub and I hope he misses our last 4 games.

Say that again Timmah, i didn't quite catch it ;-)Timmah said:Let me start by saying I do not condone Morrin's actions. He's a filthy grub and I hope he misses our last 4 games.
BUT. Tahu was part of a lifting tackle and buggered around heavily in the ruck area (which Hampstead refereed woefully on ALL NIGHT). The reason Morrin did it is because Tahu was carrying on like a pork chop in the tackle.
I'll just quote this again so nobody forgets or accuses me of condoning it:
Following the bite, Tahu went for the headslam a couple of times in retaliation and that, along with the lifting tackle in the first place, is why we got the penalty. Unfortunately the rules are that there is NEVER grounds for retaliation on foul play and often you'll find yourself on the end of a penalty either way.
Just to reiterate:
So farging what. There is NO excuse, so don't even mention what Tahu did (and so what if it was a lifting tackle, it wasn't a headslam and it never went past the horizontal). Your attempted disclaimer means nothing. Dog act, end of story.Timmah said:BUT. Nikki said:It'll be all the old players too. Someone on the NRL forum was saying how its always Parra who brings these issues up for complaint. But as I said over there, with all the camera's and media scrutiny in todays game its hard to stick with the old addage of "what happens on the field, stays on the field" even if you beleive in it or not. Good on us for trying to clean up the game I say. And T is no whinger. When he fires up he fires up for a good reason. And to his credit, good on him for not getting up and throwing a thousand punches (as I would have). Goes to show what sort of character he has.
