There is always a whinger who goes public when they fail with a bid like this so not really surprising and he gets to tarnish an opposition sport at the same time.

Agreed keep union well away from ownership of a big club like bradford

So yeah, that bullshit about a 'non-existent club' was bullshit.
It was non-existent last week you f**king moron. To pretend that something is retrospectively untrue has to be one of the most disingenuous and plain ridiculous things I've ever read. But not surprising. And you have the temerity to say "most rugby league fans are idiots".

Meanwhile we have a league 1 club that has a sponsorship deal bigger than any SL club has ever had and has received more press (positive press too) than any other club. But this clusterf**k club gets automatically promoted instead.

And if you are still unsure about its merits, look at what actual Bradford fans are saying. Even they aren't rushing to support it.

lol how was it bullshit, at the time of the argument the club had no owner, no coach, and no signed players.
And now they do, with no disruption to the plans or ambitions of any other clubs, just like was said. The argument seemed to be that it would be better or easier to promote a League 1 team than 'build a club from scratch', which was and is absolute rubbish as was stated multiple times. The argument that it was building a club from scratch was in itself nonsense because Bradford Bulls has existed and been one of the biggest clubs in the country for 100 years, it's not like they were dreaming up some new club in Timbuktu, they had and have the infrastructure, fan base and an entire playing staff of which they will retain the majority. So yeah, it was bullshit from people who didn't know what they were talking about and still refuse to accept it.

Because that isn't how promotion and relegation works. And it's not even relevant in this case because this isn't a promotion at all. But yeah, you know best.

Not surprised if some Bradford fans are upset because, as I've tried to explain to you, this is arguably a worse punishment than if they had been forced to drop down and start in League 1.

So no defence of your ludicrous claims that something that was entirely true was "bullshit". No, just repetition of the same lie.

You were the one spouting bullshit. And then try to claim others say they "know best" when your entire argument is based on your own claims that you know best. Not only that but "Australians don't understand p and r" and "most RL fans are idiots". And then there's this repeated arrogance:

"And was stated multiple times"

Yeah it was stated multiple times by someone who is a f**king liar who thinks a club existed last week because it exists this week. The fact you keep stating it only gives it less credence. You have zero credibility after your ridiculous "bullshit" claims. Easily one of the stupidest things ever posted on this forum.

As much as I don't agree with the way RFL went about things I'm not petty enough to want them to fail.
This is a great signing for them, I'm surprised Dragons didn't snap him up this offseason. It's going to be a big season for them at such short notice but I would like to see them overcome their 12 point deduction and stay up.

Such great infrastructure that they went into administration 3 times in 5 years leading to liquidation. The RFL gives the licence to bidders that the administrators deemed unfeasable which opens them up to failing yet again and going into another administration.

You do not understand the issue that people have with the whole issue. You have a team that went bust, yet they get a reprieve because of their name and the RFL's selfish ego pertaining to a presence in the area. Had this of been, say, Whitehaven, they'd have been lucky to get back in at League 1 level. It's a slap in the face to Toulouse who walked League 1 last season and wasted their time attaining the inevitable promotion they should've had already. It's a slap in the face of Toronto who will do likewise this season. Starting on -12 and being awarded the lowest grant is going to just delay the inevitable relegation into obscurity. Toovey is a great coach but -12 is a huge obstacle to overcome and the best players left to other teams.

No, they get a 'reprieve' (which they don't for the reasons you have just explicitly stated) because going into administration is not grounds for a team to be demoted, and because it's three weeks before the start of the f**king season as has been explained to you multiple times. It's nothing at all to do with Toronto or Toulouse or Whitehaven or anyone else, it's an issue for Bradford and only Bradford and this was the only realistic solution without f**king things up for everyone else, again not sure what part of this you don't understand.

Look, if they had promoted Barrow or Whitehaven or someone in Bradford's place they would have spent the season playing in a league that they weren't ready to compete in with a team they had assembled for League 1, get flogged by 50 points each week, be relegated, have the core of their club ripped out at the end of the season and end up in much worse position than they are now. All because Bradford f**ked up. How is that fair? How does it make any sense to do that when Bradford are fully able to fulfill their fixtures as planned? Being in a higher division isn't a reward if you aren't ready or aren't able to compete, it can kill clubs.

This merkin is predicting a future that never happened now and telling us it's fact. Arrogance reaches new heights.

Were they asked?

Meanwhile Hull FC 26 Toronto 20. Yeah there's no League 1 club that could handle the championship. f**kwit.

Fair enough but liquidation is. It's happened before, just not for the RFL's selfish need to maintain Bradford in the comp. The problem was evident back in October when they went into administration. Plans could have started from then on to fix it up - ex-Bulls players could fill a Barrow club roster to allow them to be competitive and prevent being 'flogged each week.' You're approaching this with a flawed logic. You cannot say that Whitehaven, for example, would get the same preferrential treatment if they were to go bust.

I don't care if Bradford can fulfill their fixtures, they didn't exist until 10 days ago. I'm sure fans of Championship clubs would be happy to swap a dull trip to Bradford for a journey to Toronto. Bradford aren't ready to compete and it's a joke that they've been rescued with a pitiful punishment.

The Toronto organisation would've easily been able to take their place in the Championship, christ they've got a superb squad assembled. Nobody was asked due to RFL selfishness and arrogance.
