Honestly, this is ridiculous.
Name one club that does not buy purchase players from outside its junior ranks to bolster and improve its playing roster.
What a load of crap.
Every club does it, EVERY CLUB does it.
Simple.
Some clubs do it far more then others though. Bulldogs are one of those clubs, and yet they are the ones responsible for this wonderful quote.Honestly, this is ridiculous.

You're not giving the facts at all. It's simple to say a one line quote like that, which is technically true, but which isn't entirely true. Some clubs do it far more then others though. Bulldogs are one of those clubs, and yet they are the ones responsible for this wonderful quote.
When in the hell are people going to get over the stupid "Bred not Bought" slogan that our OLD management came up with as a publicity stunt for a round 4 match over a year ago?
Another bred not bought argument
This argument's been done and done again on here and we all know the truth. A marketing campaign last year to get a good crowd and sell some shirts. At the time, yeah, a shot at a Roosters club who signed 5 of our most recognised players.
Deadset... some people need to move on
lol @ bulldogs fans
they can give but can't take.
bought not bred.
When in the hell are people going to get over the stupid "Bred not Bought" slogan that our OLD management came up with as a publicity stunt for a round 4 match over a year ago? Get over it. We all know the slogan was to draw crowds and make money and we did that with a 40k+ crowd and a sh*t load of merchandise sales.
When a team like Canterbury loses well over $2 million worth of talent over a couple of years (O'Meley, Asotasi, Mason, Money Bill, Sherwin, Hughes, Maitua, Tonga and so on) what do you expect the club to do? We had and still do have a lot of money to spend under the cap. I believe last year when we signed the likes of Hannant, Kimmorley and Ennis we had a ridiculous amount of salary cap space, something like $1.4 million to fill.
The club have now made some nice, smart and cheap signings in Tia Kilifi, Paea and Green.. All probably depth signings and for under 100k.
Very smart management by arguably the best in the game in Todd Greenberg. Well done Bulldogs in making the smart decisions to take the club further and stronger over the next 5 years. *claps*
what did you do good last season???
