Former Under 20s player Brenden Santi has officially re-joined Wests Tigers following an immediate release from the Parramatta Eels.

Primarily a lock forward, Santi was an integral part of the Wests Tigers’ Under 20s team during the 2012 and 2013 seasons before his departure to the Eels last year.

The 20-year-old is currently training with the Wests Tigers NSW Cup side and has signed a deal through until the end of the 2015 season.

Santi represented Italy in last year’s Rugby League World Cup alongside NRL fullback James Tedesco and was part of the Wests Tigers’ premiership-winning Under 20s side in 2012.

I think he's got a better chance to grow and improve here than at Parra.

I couldn't believe it when he decided he wanted to leave in the first place.

If Sheens was still coach, it would've made sense...

Parra offered very big money at the time, Ricky was a big fan of his

Arthur obviously didn't think the same, I'd probably prefer him to BMM

I have watched both Santi and Lovett in NSW Cup and Kyle has well and truly overtaken Santi at this point.

A far more aggressive defender and hard runner of the ball.

For mine at this stage Santi is a poor mans Fulton. But we have him now on a much better deal then we otherwise would have and get to see his progression.

I think with the outstanding form of Brooks, Tedesco and Nufo we are all expecting our promising juniors to hit FG with flying colours as soon as they leave U20s. Give them all time in NSW Cup, like we did with Simona, and they will come very very good.

Santi is a worker and tries 100% but he is just another bod out there , doesnt really create anything . As said previously Lovett has gone past him.

Would have preferred to keep BMM. Why couldn't he make FG at Parra?

He wasn't performing in NSW cup. He was coming off the bench for Wenty. Simply we had guys better than him. I think he was on a decent contract that Sticky signed him to and he was blocking Junior Paulo being able to play regular first geade . So logically we let him go to free up the $$$ and Paulo went straight to the bench last night against Cronulla.
