Here you go.

...Now for some facts:
1 - The amount we pay players is confidential and the amounts published in the media for the two BK's is very much wide of the mark.Speculate all you like but don't condemn on heresay. And those posters claiming to have inside knowledge are living in a fool's paradise....
...6 - Brent Kite signed a three year contract with a one year option in the headquarters of the Manly Sea Eagles offices today.
7 - The Sea Eagles will sign ONE more big name player in the coming weeks. He will be a back. His signing will END the major signings for next season....

Which outside back has been given permission to negotiate? Monas definitely hasnt and I didnt think Tahu had. If their last major signing is either of those players then Peter Peters statment would be pretty solid proof of tampering.

Not neccesarily. The club has already stated their intent to pursue both Tahu and Monaghan. perhaps the club is supremely confident of being able to snare one of the two.

And there is also the remote chance that the club is negotiating with Fitzy to pay out Lyon's Contract.

You don't become successful by buying outside backs; you do it by buying forwards, forwards, forwards. Then when you think you've got enough forwards, you buy a few more.

Are you sure, 5 out of 7 of your backline were brought in as established first grade players !!!!

Well, we're not rebuilding and trying to become successful; we already are successful and are trying to maintain it. The forwards are already in place. But if you go back to 1995-96 when the Roosters were building up after several years near the bottom, you'll find that signing solid forwards such as Hermanson, Iro, Lowrie, Gourley, Dunn, Phil Clarke, Duckworth, etc. was the major priority; just as much as the signing of Brad Fittler, which would have been pointless without the necessary artillery up front.
