Finch did well to kick that field goal, it was brilliant but the fact remains if all the other candidates didn't turn it down or get injured then Finch would never have got near an origin jersey either.

If every NSW half died in a plane crash, Morris still wouldn't make it.

In the 1st game he stepped up and choked in the 2nd.

try as you want, you cant take that first match away from him, he showed he can do the business at the highest level

Morris trys to be a hero and leads the team away from the gameplan. He passes less than Wagon and WHY does he continually run the ball on the last when we need to kick? Hopeless!

How am I trying to take that 1st game away from him when I said:

Then he also showed he can choke at the highest level, hence why he was dropped for the 3rd game.

His biggest problem is the tendency to stand too flat outside Smith when we are attacking close to the try line. There must have been at least 5 times last night that the defence were able to prevent him passing because they were in his pocket when he got the ball. He is far more effective as the second man option standing deeper.

as I've said before, he reminds me of Wags at 5/8 sometimes, he just wont pass the ball, yet when he did last night, he threw a few forward

its odd how he can be so good, yet so bad a few weeks later

Tim smith was worse set up one try then went walk about. Typical Tim smith style he is poison to the blue and gold

why do you have to hijack every thread with Smith bashing

he was better than Morris last night, first game back from injury as well

ok, that just proves our point that you know ansolutely nothing about Rugby league I suggest you be more constructive in your critisism or just go and find yourself another forum to haunt because you're certainly not welcome in here.

Our halves future now is 6.Brett Finch & 7.Tim Smith, And to tell you the truth i couldnt be happier John Morris is a good player but he isn't a 5/8th he has done quiet well in that position for the past 2 years but it is time for a change, I really believe that signing Brett Finch is a step in the right direction and will give us alot more options in attack.

Remember:

*When getting a release from Easts, Brett Finch's 1st option was signing with Parramatta
*He has played the house down for Easts since being moved to 5/8th.
*Brett Finch is looking forward and wants to play alongside Tim Smith
*Everytime Brett Finch is asked about his move to Parramatta he is very upbeat about it
*The Roosters didn't have a F-ing Clue how to use him proper and put all this pressure on him when Fittler retired, I have a feeling when he comes over to Parramatta he will be relieved of this pressure and play his normal game and re-caputre his awesome 2004 form which nearly saw the club he was playing with win a grand final.

Couldn't agree more, Upfront we have The Hindmarsh Brothers, Moi Moi, Cayless, Robinson, Mateo, Wagon, Riddell, Cordoba etc etc

Out back we have Tahu, Burt, Hayne, Smith, Grothe

Not too shabby at all!

Agree on that. Fui & Caylo are our gun props but if one or both go down I'm not that confident about their replacements.

An old reliable head like a Stapleton or a Craig Smith would be excellent insurance for us.

I think Cordoba, Cannings & Tsoulos all have wonderful potential but have so far failed to play well consistently on a week-to-week basis. One of them really needs to step up next year.
