I think it was Sundays match against Canberra... I don't blame him since by then it was over 80 minutes since we got a penalty from Cummins.. Now up to 120 minutes... It is beyond farcial with this bloke.

Part of a coaches job description to point out the inadequacies of the refs.
The clubs budget for it.

NRL fines Sydney Roosters

The National Rugby League has today issued the Sydney Roosters with a $5,000 breach notice after comments made by coach Brian Smith to the match officials at half time during Sunday’s match between the Roosters and the Raiders at Canberra Stadium.

Reports from the referees and the ground manager confirmed the comments were directed against the officials as they walked towards their change room at and related to the penalty count in the match.
On May 19 this year the NRL wrote to all clubs warning them that there had been a number of incidents where Club Officials had gone close to breaching NRL Rules in relation to: “approaching, questioning, or offering unsolicited advice to match officials on game day”.
Clause 1.32.2 f. of the NRL Operations Manual states:
“Under no circumstances are match officials to be approached, questioned, or harassed in any way by Club Officials either during or after a match”.
The definition of a Club Official includes; the Club CEO; a director or employee; a coach; a member of the coaching or football staff; a member of the medical staff.
“We can’t have a situation where coaches or club officials make comments to referees on game day, particularly when the match is still in progress,” NRL Chief Operating Officer Mr Graham Annesley said today.
“There are plenty of opportunities for clubs to voice their disagreement with refereeing decisions but the time to pursue these is not when emotions take over at a match.”

I thought his celebration in the coaches box when they got their only penalty was a classic...."Yeaaahhhh!...one f**ken penalty!!"

Yeah Smith's reaction to receiving that first penatly was gold. I'm suprised Smith doesn't go off more to be honest, with uncle Nick in the corner paying for these fines with the wads in his pocket.
