What shouldn't be lost here is that apparently Smithy approached the roosters twice before they relented. Noyce said as much today. They are a joke the roosters. Noone likes them and I guarantee we will be the sentimental faves going into this season's finals. We are going to win this thing. The players will fire up. I can see Manly getting smashed friday night. It is like destiny if you ask me. Then Smith will know he has f###ed up big time. I am a believer, so I am entitled to that much.

Of course not Serc. I think its wrong to not appreciate Smith's great work at the club. And its ridiculous to think Hagan should be coach.

I don't have the kind of anger that the bloke on Ch 10 did ( I didn't see the Ch 10 story btw, just read what that bloke at the fan day supposedly said on here ). Apey is just being a goose.

To say that kind of thing and direct it at Smith, would be unappreciative of the good work he has done for our club.

However, honestly, I will not miss Brian Smith at all when he does go. We're a strong enough team to bounce back after his departure, and I sure won't miss his personality.

My ONE problem with all this is how it leaked, was he offered the position at the start of the year or was it just a spur of the moment thing?

Pretty dog to not tell anyone about it if he'd decided by the start of this year, at least from the point of view of us being able to get a decent replacement for him.

Btw Karma, my apologies, in another thread i thought you were having a go at Mickers (it seemed like it), if that's not the case then my bad.
