I think Newcastle are the dark horse for this years' Premiership, behind the Bulldogs and St George, possibly Gold Coast as well. I think next year though, we will play the whole season as favorites, the younger players in the squad will have one more year of experience to their arsenal and hopefully Brian gets to do the long-awaited victory lap.

Dude Bulldogs and Saints are no darkhorses. Given the scalps we have collected so far this season i doubt we are either. Cronulla are the darkhorses IMO. They have the defensive ability to make the eight with the remaining games left in the season. Their attack is currently on fire. They could come from nowhere and win this thing. Especially if Baz and Gallen stay fit. Adversity steels teams and Cronulla have copped it like no other club in history this season. Just my opinion but hey I am impressed with their never quit attitude.

I think he means that WE are the dark horses, with the Dogs, Dragons and Tits the favourites. That's the way I read it anyway...
