A wonderful performance by the boys after losing 2 of our most important players early but they hung in there and deserved to win by more. Hard to pick a top 3, everyone put in.

3 maloney
2 friend - a real captains knock
1 RTS

I thought cordner and guerra were immense too.

3- Maloney - stepped up after the loss of Pearce and ran the show very well
2- Napa - same when we lost JWH. Broncos forwards were getting NAPAlmed all night. Ferocious
1 - RTS

Cords unlucky to miss the points too.

3. Napa - someone needed to step up after JWH went down. He answered the call.
2. BBQ - ran the show very well without Pearce. Hastings played great under difficult circumstances aswell.
1. RTS - usually when a player runs for more than 300 metres it is declared a performance for the ages. When RTS does it, its just the norm.

All the forwards were outstanding. Maloney really stwpped up. And RTS is just a freak. The second best player in the game imo. Holy moly we're going to miss him.

I think the injuries to key players for both us and the cowboys (throw in South's as well with the unknown extent of the GI injury) has thrown the comp right open.

in all reality I believe anyone from the top 6 could get the job done, Will be a very interesting finals series.

Special mention to Cords, Evans, bugger it, the whole club!

Really love how Jimmy has stepped up for the club since signing with the Sharks. Must think it's his last chance at another GF. We'll need him to take it up another notch as will our pack.

3 points: James Maloney. Steered the ship on Saturday night and seemed to step up a notch when Pearce went down injured. Quality performance from him took any pressure of Jackson Hastings.

2 points: Boyd Cordner. 16 runs for 148 metres, 33 tackles with 2 missed and a try to boot. The unnoticed thing though, he was in Ben Hunt's face the whole game in attack and in defence. Pressured Hunt into making a few key mistakes which proved crucial.

1 point: Roger Tuivasa-Sheck. His kick returns and running in general play helped take the load of an over worked forward pack following the injuries to JWH, Pearce and then Evans. I mean 331 metres on 29 runs is amazing stuff. Also broke the NRL record for most metres in a season.

Tough this week. Hard to believe I can't find points for Maloney.
