McGuire is probably the most promising young prop i've seen in some time, and there has been plenty of young talented props in the last few years in guys like Snowden, Tolman, Merrin etc.

A must keep for Brisbane.

broncos really shouldnt be struggling with the salary cap. a lot of young players who wouldnt be on big contracts. this articles reads more that his manager is trying to push up his value

Not to mention the cap will be going up in 2013.

Never a sure thing. There were even rumours going around the NRL would sign a one year TV deal with limited pay television to get News by the balls, which would delay an increase for a little while.

not so sure, thaiday massive money, hodges massive money, hannant big, petro big money, money, parker solid money, wallace solid money.

blokes like yowyeh, glenn and mcguire could command 250k+ a year easily next contract.

few kids like hoffman, gillett etc will probz put there hands out too..

losing lockyer would make u think its a bit of money back however it was apperently all off the cap anyhow.

Are the broncs paying overs to players if;

Locky has retired and they are in with a chance of losing the 3 mentioned.

I was of the understanding that when Dazza signed his last contract with the Broncos, that he took a bit of a pay cut so the younger players could get there contracts upgraded.

Very promising young prop, for those NRLCEO tragics here who keep an eye out for all forwards regularily getting workhorse tries Josh is up there nearly each week even when coming off the bench. Reminds me a bit of pricey in terms of not being the biggest of props but pumping out decent numbers each week. COnsidering its 12 months away it does smell a bit like an attempt by an agent to boost his price.

Well trade them ash graham real cheap for Yow Yeh.

Definitely a must keep having lost Taylor. Broncos should be able to re-sign him and next season won't be too bad for him as he should play some decent minutes since Petro no longer plays the big minutes he use to.

We'll hear the usual crap about Brisbane being cheaper so players will sign for less:lol:

What's crap about that?
I know big corporations who pay their staff more to live in Sydney than they do in Brisbane and the jobs are identical.
If I was offered a bit less cash to go to Brisbane than a Sydney club it would most definitely be a factor in the decision.
I can't fathom how that is not considered a valid point.

It is a valid point. Quite simply Sydney is more expensive to live in than Brisbane.

Broncos players have been accepting less for aeons to stay in Brisbane for this reason and for the QLD/Brisbane lifestyle

McGuire's manager is just putting it out there for the Broncos management to sit up and take notice. Brisbane have nourished and raised Josh McGuire the footballer.........

surely they would be owed salary cap concessions for doing so.
