Looking back at the warriors game last round, there was a lot of dumb shit.. but one I keep thinking of was our first created opportunity we blew because of a lack of concentration and dumbness. I thought we started the game on top (as in first 5-7 mins), line speed was good, mostly had the better field position. We had the ascendency.
We then try a shift from our own end which was a good play and had them stripped for numbers. Leilua, arguably the dumbest in the side at the moment, just has to execute a simple offload (both hands were free, defenders weren't putting him in any particularly awkward position). If he hits Val on the chest, it becomes a 2 v 1 against the fullback, maybe a 3 v 1 if Gutho or LKT were going to back up on the inside. Instead, Leilua gets the pass wrong, and fires it behind Holmes and instead of what was probably a 6-point play to us, we've tossed possession away around 35m out from our own line. Didn't take Warriors long to score their first and get on top of momentum after that. Things like this, we need to nail, and we consistently aren't doing that. That was a big moment in the game for me, albeit early on.
