Broncos vs Storm for the 6th straight year.

The 2006 Grand Final is up there with the 1999 Grand Final as the deciders that pissed me off the most. Funny that first time around I wanted the Storm to lose, while 7 years later I was backing them all week.

I felt that last years' final was the Storms' revenge for the '06 Grand Final. It was a Broncos home semi final, Uncle Wayne's last season after 21 years at the helm, it was going to be the fairytale finish and then Melbourne gatecrashed their party at the death. I was out that night and taped the game. Watched it the moment I got home and the moment it ended I rewound it and watched it again. Best semi I've ever seen.

tied with the 1994 world club challenge for most upset ive been at a footy match.

Storm have the chance to end the Broncos season for the 3rd year running. If they do then that could just about go close to covering the controversial 06 gf loss.

It should be a cracker on Saturday. Storm could potentially smash them but I doubt it with how well the Broncos have been going, it will be intense with the home advantage and the Storm's lack of team disruption helping them over the line.

Still wouldn't make up for it and doubt they ever can, need to beat them in a GF and soon:x

Well not everyone gets what the Panthers of the early 90's did an opportunity for direct revenge. Lost to Raiders in '90 and beat them in '91. Manly got revenge on Storm for 07 but if the Storm win the comp this year, I doubt you'll care that it was against Eels/Dogs.

Just goes to show they're arguably the 2 best clubs of this decade. (No disrespect to Roosters fans).

I must say I enjoyed when they played off in the GF because it was different without a Sydney club.

Despite my dislike for the Broncos growing up (due to a similar rivalry with the Raiders in the 90s), I hope they win the GF for the mere fact that we would have inflicted their worst ever loss in a premiership season. There's no doubt that game woke them up.

Hopefully both teams will beat the absolute living sh*t out of each other, leaving the winner as a team of virtual cripples for the GF.
