The Chairman of the New South Wales Rugby League, Mr Colin Love, is pleased to announce the following players have been selected to represent the NSW Wizard Blues in Game 2 of the Harvey Norman State Origin Series to be played on Wednesday, 14 June, 2006 at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane.

I know i should support the knights, but I would rather have Tom Leahroyd-Lahrs in there instead of Simpson, only because simpson is very much injured and should of had surgery weeks ago. I would rather have a fit person in then one thats not going to be at 100%. and TLL is on fire.

When he was playing for the Broncos and they asked him who he wanted to play for in Origin he said NSW but they changed it to make him sound like he was wanting to play for QLD (misquoted) he has always wanted to play for NSW.

The problem I have with the team is Ryan at lock and Menzies on the bench, it should be the other way around.

The team gets changed all the time before kick-off Murray may decide to swap them around. Simpson got pushed back to the bench after named on the starting line-up and Menzies is playing better football than Ryan at the moment.

I think you see that Manzies will start on the bench, not because he is not playing better than the others, but the fact NSW will want him up their sleeves in case there is an injury in the outside backs.

I agree with keeping Menzies for an emergency (he can play anywhere) but i still wouldnt want Ryan at lock. He's a back rower at best.

Not a suprise at to see those 2 picked.

If QLD keep naming sides like this, Danny could end up with one of the greatest NSW captaincy records!!

Im one of the biggest fans of learoyd lahrs (i copped abit of criticism on here last year when I said we should have made a move for him) but I don't think he's quite ready yet. I'd pick him next year if he has a strong game for country next year (if selected). Imagine him mand mason carving up the maroons
