Having an imaginary friend is no excuse for not performing the job you are paid to do.

Still, If the doggies agreed to sign him up fully understanding this and his wages are docked accordingly, I guess thats all good.

What does a Morman do if they have to work Sundays to support their family financially? Luckily Hopoate is loaded, so he can make this choice and put his god before his teammates. The same god that can create a planet, but won't intervene when a child is being raped in a place of worship?

You're all going to hell anyway.

If you're offended by that then tough shit, kneel before god and repent - sinners!

I'm happy to have a shot at his beliefs, f**k him.

He's putting imaginary fairy nonsense above his multi-million dollar career and more importantly, his mates chances at success.

If I truly believed my devotion to Thor and the Flying Spaghetti Monster was more important than said career (if I was lucky enough to have an NRL career, obvs not) I'd be laughed all the way back to park footy and rightly so.

What a tosser. Dogs are stupid for allowing this and it will bit them in the arse, and will be hilarious.

This idea of putting his god before everything else is such lunacy to me.

I have friends who are Christian, the wife happily admits that she's glad she has a husband who puts their Christian god Yahweh before her. She thinks it's his best quality!

Just take a minute to really think about the kind of mind it takes to reach this kind of cognitive dissonance. It's truly horrifying.

Hoppa wouldn't be so Pius if he was a golfer or a tennis player. He can get away with it seeing as he plays a team sport.

There is no Jesus in Team.

Personally I think the Dogs are only “happy” with it because of how it might look if they weren’t. I don’t buy that Hasler is stoked about Hoppa’s religious freedom.

If Dogs were not happy with it they would have not signed him.

Raeleen is ego driven whose doing everything for her own image at the detriment of the club. She has been staunch about the "No Des" Clause for Mbye, saying that it will never happen.

I'd say you're spot on.

I wouldn't be signing anyone who can't play on GF day. Or will his friend in the sky allow that as it's a special occasion?

According to the first report, Hoppa only told them well into the season, not before they signed him.

If Hoppa told them before he signed, than the Bulldogs are complete idiots to sign someone who will not be there for a grand final. Knowing Des from all reports, I seriously doubt he'd sign Hoppa knowing that information.

If Hoppa told them only a few weeks ago, than he is a selfish f**kwit.

There was a story today saying he almost went to Melbourne instead of the dogs and he had told them about the Sunday's and they had agreed. So I doubt he brought it up with Melbourne and not the dogs in the negotiations.
