Police investigate after footy fans’ cars badly damaged – Sydney Olympic Park
Saturday, 24 Jul 2010 11:42am

Police are conducting inquiries after cars belonging to two Parramatta NRL fans were vandalised at Sydney Olympic Park overnight.

About 9.30pm yesterday (Friday 23 July) – at the conclusion of the Bulldogs v Eels NRL match at ANZ Stadium – a 33-year-old Panania woman and 24-year-old Carlingford man returned to Uhrig Road, where they had parked their 2006-model Mazda sedan and 2007-model Holden Commodore.

Upon arrival, they discovered their cars – which they had decorated in Parramatta’s traditional blue and gold colours – badly damaged.

Both vehicles had been covered in blue and white paint, while bricks had also been thrown through two of the Mazda’s windows.

Police from Flemington Local Area Command were alerted to the incident and attended the scene.

A canvass of the surrounding area was carried out in a bid to identify any potential witnesses.

Investigating officers are now seeking public assistance as they continue their inquiries.

Anyone who witnessed the act of vandalism or has any information that might assist police is urged to contact Auburn Police Station via Crime Stoppers in 1800 333 000.

Meanwhile, police remind members of the public that secure parking areas are available on site at Sydney Olympic Park, which are patrolled by security staff and covered by closed-circuit television, and encourage them to use them.

For those that weren't listening to 2GB, just had a report of two cars that had been decorated in Parramatta Colours and parked in the side streets of Homebush had been vandalised with Blue and White paint tipped over them, and one car suffering broken windows due to a housebrick.
No doubt will get the usual chorus of "They aren't Bulldogs supporters", but FMD it must be only a co-incidence:twisted::twisted::twisted:

(mods please move to the other thread)

You can take the team out of bankstown, but you cant take the bankstown out of the fans, classy calibre of people from that way!

Driving down the M4 and had forgotten there was a game on last night there.

I knew it was a Dogs game as soon as I saw the procession of 90's model 3 series BMW's full of kids with stupid hair cuts

Pretty easy to get retribution, just look for the $500 car with $5000 mags & the backseats taken up by subwoofers. But on a serious note, who the f**k carries paint around with them after a game?

As usual there were the usual crowd of Bulldogs supporters who run around yelling "go the doggies" and playing their bongos and paying out parra supporters even they yet again when they get beaten. Most Dogs supporters are decent people but their are tossers out there who gives their fans and club a bad name and whoever did to those cars hopefully are caught by police, face whatever charges, and then Greenberg can ban them for life.
