Bulldogs fans at it again

Well look what happened? Is it worth putting a few streamers on your car just to have some vandals come and smash up your car. I think not, it's all about preventitive measures.

Yes its worth it. You can't expect people not to show their colours. Criminals like these(supporters of any club) should be behind bars.

 Fair dinkum some people are hilarious.

34,000 other people don't have a problem...

So you condone criminal acts?
Great everyone around to Timmahs place and trash his car seeing he thinks there is nothing wrong with it.

Well it's a far better way to do an insurance job on your car than torch it! There is more chance of getting it written off that way than if you wrote "All bikies are twinkies" and backed over 16 Harleys.

Dogs fans - a blight on the game - every one of them - except Timmah. BTW Dodgey, paint tins? Thought it would be easier to tag a train with spray cans mate!

Oh dear. There are so many holes in that rant it's not funny.

For a start, why should a club or its CEO fund repair works (although I admit it would be a good PR story) for trashed vehicles. It's a common criminal matter that happened in the public domain, not within ANZ Stadium and therefore not within the clubs jurisdiction. It doesn't come down to the jerseys the cretins wear whether you want to debate that or not, they're criminals who the police should be trying to find and charge - something that myself, all Bulldogs fans and indeed I would think all NRL fans would agree with. No Bulldogs fan condones this, especially those on this forum.

Exactly how can you go about changing the culture/actions of fans outside the ground after the event has occured? I understand the situation is frustrating and people want to blame somebody but how the f**k is the club responsible for something like this?

For a Bulldogs fan, you haven't once commented on the fact that a couple of your fans have done something indefensible. I would be pretty ashamed if a Parra fan did such an act, you act like you don't give a s**t and it's part of the norm.

Doga gets it as per his/her post, you don't seem to.

Your club has done a lot of great work in the past couple of years to turn the perception of the Bulldogs club around, only something like this to happen. It's unacceptable. All it does is prove that effort is achieved very little. Greenberg and co. obviously want to give your club a good image and after they SHOULD make some effort to compensate those whose vehicles were damaged and do an investigation themselves to find out who was involved ban them accordingly instead of sweeping it under the rug.

Sick and tired of all the Dogs fans and their selfish attitude. You only have to be at a Bulldogs game to know a lot of their supporters are wankers and have no respect for supporters of other clubs. Sick and tired of the so called "They're not reaaaaaaal Bulldogs fans". They think they are, they attend Bulldogs games in Bulldogs gear, they're Dogs fans whether the club admits or likes it or not.
Agreed mate! F#cking C@nterbury fans! The worst in the NRL by far!

I'm all for them being banned from night games again. They didn't learn and it isn't fair on people who want to go out and support their team without fear of this BS happening.

the safest place to watch a game involving dogs is in ones own loungeroom with the front door locked securely:(

As long as you don't live in Homebush with your car parked on the street. Then you're better off putting a TV in your front verandah and have a shotgun next to you.

How dumb is it to decorate your car in Parra colours when you know you are going to a Dogs game?

So what how you choose to decorate your car, fact of the matter is IT SHOULDN'T MATTER, It sounds like you are trying to defend the actions of the morons and that seeing Parramatta colours somehow provoked them.. FMD

You are clueless.

I'm sure if your car had been trashed by some d*ckhead opposition supporters you would be singing different tune.

Get a clue.
So you condone criminal acts?

Where did I say, anywhere at all, that I agree with what those criminals did?
In fact on two occasions in my second post I actually labelled them criminals myself, and said clearly that I believe the "cretins" should be dealt with by the police.

"Doga gets it"... because you agree with him? Have you gone back over every single one of my 70k+ posts to be absolutely sure I haven't labelled the actions of these fools indefensible? I'm sure if you bothered, rather than making wild claims, you'd know I have, not only in this post but in plenty of other threads. I won't defend the morons, however I will defend the club.

Your response to this incident is hysterical. You are claiming the actions of two complete, utter f**kwits represent the supporter base of an entire club, when nothing could be further from the truth. There were approximately 16,998 other Bulldogs fans (assuming we represented half the crowd) who in all likelihood didn't commit any criminal act, and who respectfully went in and out of the stadium. It is unfathomable from a reasonable person why you believe it is somehow reflective on the club management that two people committed a criminal act simply because they support the club. The club can't and won't sweep it under the rug, and may even as you suggest investigate, however it is a police matter - a power far greater than the Canterbury RLFC.
I'm all for them being banned from night games again. They didn't learn and it isn't fair on people who want to go out and support their team without fear of this BS happening.
What about 'Dogs fans who haven't done anything wrong?

Sounds suspisciously like you are dismissing it as a over reaction to a criminal act.

A lot of the stuff being said in this thread is an overreaction. Targetting a rugby league club for a criminal problem involving two absolute f**kwits is absurd.

But when the turds are Bulldogs "fans", then of course any problems are going to reflect on the club as a whole.
Likewise with any incidents from "fans" of other clubs.

Does that warrant the hysteria shown throughout this thread? Honestly?

Probably a bit over the top but its what happens when the fans of one club continually do this sort of sh!t. Every club as their bad element but the Dogs is larger and more consistant in causing issues, and those issues are often more severe. Unfortunately not much the club can do which sucks.
