Bulldogs finals record

I hope the Dogs hammer the sh*t out of the Raiders and send that turncoat Shifcofske to Union with a nice memory of his last game.

But iff Shifcofske wasn't playing, I'd want the Raiders to win....

both have poor record in the first week of the finals
canberra however are playing a ground they've only lost once at (this year against the bunnies in our worst performance in the past 25 years!), we are playing a team no one gives us a chance of beating and its a night game, i recon we're a good chance at an upset

I dont think there'll be too many 'not giving you a chance', I think it'll be a very close one myself.
Dogs may go in as faves, but that means not a lot when you look at some of the recent upsets.
We were also given no chance in last years first semi, "no exp.- making the semis a good effort- small forwards etc etc" ...yet we blew the Cowboys away.

Here we go.

The usual Raiders suspects are out in force, talking up their chances.

I'm not going to say anything about this game because I know the Dogs could easily be on the end of an upset.

But if they manage to knock the Raiders out of the title race on Saturday night, it'll be one of the sweetest finals victories that I've ever enjoyed.

When it comes to sh*t-stirring supporters on this forum, there's none worse than the Raiders.

I dunno, I'm pretty good at it, so is ink as well ;-)

I'd rather of played Parramatta then Canberra!!! I'm worried about this game.

statistics will mean absoloutley nothing... i reckon the dogs will win by 10 or so but im hope its alot closer for that... i imagine this will be a classic semi final honestly.

We need to play them out wide and use guys like Shif, Mogg and Graham to get past their slower outside backs.

Smith and Carney need to kick to the corners and get our tall backs to try and outjump Utai and El Masri. The Cowboys did this in 2004 to great effect.

If we try and play the Dogs up the middle, we will lose and lose big. We need to run them around all night.

If the Bulldogs are switched on, they'll run over the Raiders up the middle regardless of where the Raiders want to play the game, and the Raiders will be starved of any forward momentum as a result.

If the Raiders do get some room to spread the ball wide, they'll have a good chance of finding some holes in the Bulldogs defensive line.

If the Raiders go into this trying to play conservatively, they'll get done like a dinner.

If the Bulldogs forwards fire, it's all over red rover. If they don't, it's game on!

it was in the telegraph that Canberra picked up a host of injuries in their 26-24 win over Cronulla at Toyota Park, Kris Kahler (Cut mouth), Troy Thompson (Cut Chin), Phil Graham (Hip) and Craig Frawley (Hip) are all in doubt but Jason Smith (Knee) will be back"

i think the fact that jason smith is back for them, will help them, i hope the dogs win

Thompson and Graham are losses if they are out.

Kahler and Frawley out will only benefit us IMO, both havent been playing that well'.

In 2004 people thought the Dogs were unbackable vs the Cowboys...we all know the rest.
In 2006 people sort of say the same thing...i think the Raiders can do it.

unless i'm mistaken, team 7 has rolled team 2 more times than not since '99.

99 team 2 won
00 team 7 won
01 team 7 won
02 team 7 won
03 team 2 won
04 team 7 won
05 team 2 won

WTF are you on about? How is stating the facts a sh*t stir?

Fact is we have never lost to the Bulldogs at Telstra and the Bulldogs finals record in the early stages is not flash but they have gone on to win the grand final after losing to the Cowboys in 2004.

You need to give Ink a call for some group therapy.

It's not just this thread. It's the whole year. Every f**king game you start a thread saying you'll beat the sh*t out of your next opponent - it does happen at times, but the side is not nearly as good as some supporters on here will make out.

You'll no doubt disagree and I CBF continuing this argument. But I'll just leave by saying that while the Raiders have a great chance of causing an upset, I'll be cheering louder than most if we get the win and knock you out of the playoffs.

Maybe, maybe not.
Brisbane are not over the line.
If anything Friday nights game will be the standout as either team could end up being the 2004 Dragons

yeah i wouldn't be overly confident if i was on the wrong side of the ledger friday night.

the raiders & the drags are some sort of chance.

however the drags have more to be worried about.
