Will we be giving it away? I have tried to carry the Eels for 7 months now and from the original 23 we now only have 2 remaining. I'm quite frankly ready to give the whole game away.

parra-matters, that isn't really fair, you could have been the fifth player for the team and kept the team alive, now it may fail and I hope not, but just because the Rhino's who are rather comfortable with players made a better offer, your going to them....am i the only one to see this injustice.

dvd dont give up yet. im trying my hardest to find players but they just arent around much anymore.

I wish we could get some of the old Bulldogs guys from rleague over here. That was a team destined for big things. They just arent interested anymore. Im trying to get some new guys interested in the game.

its getting harder by the day.

As for parra-matters. He still has a place here in the team, but if he feels he will get treated better at the rhinos, then let him be. There is not much we can do about it.

Captain, on the recruitment front I report that I've hung out some bait for a prospective recruit (whom I'm not at liberty to name at present) and am currently awaiting an answer.

One minor detail in the offer is that we "may" have to re-name ourselves the "Virtual Melon.com Parra-Bulldogs".

On a more sombre note Captain, just who do we have at present? I count you, me and Dave so far. Is Miss Vaeleki aboard?

And do I have recruitment authority Captain? I do have a couple in mind (neither Parra or Dog supporters but who cares?)

And I'm gonna try to dare the old circle-headed dullard into a challenge of F7's proportions too - for our team.

Quick update Captain, team. Our prospective recruit is playing coy at presnt claiming that he's done a "Fittler" and a "Bonetti" and is quite happy to rest on his laurels.

I've pointed out to him that there are many that believe he's just lost the plot and spat the dummy and so negotiations are still ongoing.

Some further minor details on the trade-off we may have to wear to secure our potential recruits services - Does anyone have an objection to being renamed...... "The Melons"?

Re name changes:
You can call yourselves anything you like but it won't be changed in the comp ladder or the draw. Too much work has been done and the cut-off date for rego happened weekend before last.
IMO, it would be good if names had an association with a RL team.

The fact is that if I was to join the Parra-Bulldogs then I would be expected to post every round coz of the low team numbers, with the Rhinos having a good roster I only have to post when I want as I don't have a lot of time to post long articles and I'm not that good at it anyway.
I want to play but not all the time at the Rhinos I can be a part timer.

Thanks Zef, with your low team numbers the times I couldn't post would leave you short and thats not the way play if you are in a team, I hate to let people down who are counting on you. It is better for everybody if I join the Rhinos and only post when I'm able to that way I let no body down.

Zef you can talk to players to join and you have recruiting rights. but if the person your talking about is Melon, forget about it, no way would i ever be able to team up with a roosters supporter let a lone an old fart.
