Decision on Noad's future will come at the first board meeting. I'd say he's likely to be turfed but they'll surely scrutinise his role before turfing him.

Just heard the great Adrian on 2SM talking about his writings on LU. So it's official Adrian Rovere is the Adrian who rings up all the stations. At least he thinks Wally was the best.

BTW, Adrian is happy about the Bulldogs' board change for what it's worth.

Bulldogs vote for change
February 17, 2008

BULLDOGS members have voted for change, with five members of the Graeme Hughes-led rival ticket winning seats on the NRL club's board.

While the Hughes ticket was successful in wresting the balance of power, Hughes himself missed a spot on the board.

The five members of the rival ticket to win election were former Australia internationals Andrew Farrar and Paul Dunn, as well as Barry Ward, Anthony Elias and Ray Dib.

The election of the new board raises questions over Malcolm Noad's position as chief executive of the club, with the rival ticket having stated their dissatisfaction with his performance over the past few years.

"I hope that after today, the good of the club will be uppermost in everybody's mind and that we can move ahead with some unity," Bulldogs chairman George Peponis said.

"The bottom line is that we have to stop fighting amongst ourselves and stop destroying this great club."

The other two members on the board are Peter Cassilles and Phillip Charlton.

Given Charlton topped the vote, surely he deserves a run in your (much edited) very first post on this thread.

Much edited?

It was copied directly from Post #13, which was copied over from another fan forum which supplied the result (the link of which I'm not permitted to post). My post #1 in this thread was edited once and once only to change it to show the results.

Charlton was not written into the post I copied over from the other forum, hence why he wasn't there.

The voting went as follows:

1. Charlton 366
2. Farrar 354
3. Dunn 349
4. Dib 319
5. Ward 308
6. Cassilles 274
7. Elias 280
8. Byrnes 242
9. Hughes 242
10. Hall 231
11. Hartly 204
12. Phillis 192
13. Dimas 175
14. Picone 66
15. Eastman 30
16. Dagher 8

You forgot also :

* No player for the current Australian cricket team would make the 80s West Indies
* Matthew Haydens 380 vs the Zimbarbs was overrated

One can imagine the shredders will be working overtime at bulldogs HQ. Iwonder how many resignations will be handed in tomorrow morning and how many redundancy packages will be negotiated with Noad.

This year will be annus horribillus for the dogs off the field. Sort of sets them up for a 'fairytale' top 4 finish on the field.
