 Hmmm, whose word do we take, the goose with Gallen in his signature, or respected commentators :-k

Now thats uncalled for.........you know there are no respected commentators in this forum.

Plus he dropped it......take my word for it....

It doesn't matter whether Newcastle were deserving winners or not and no one is arguing that they didn't play well.

A clear try that should have been awarded to the bulldogs was disallowed. The fact is the no try decision completely changed the fabric of the game.

Clear cut try imo. Still, we got rorted by all and sundry last year, nice to get the 50/50s going our way this time around.

It was quite frustrating, as it has been in other games.

I thought Idris scored and I thought there was a knock-on in the lead up to the Con Mika try but couldn't see 100% from the angle.

Regardless we didn't play very well and shouldn't have put ourselves in that position in the first place.

Congrats the Knights. They bounced back from a bad loss last week and played quite well especially with their players out.

Oh well. Time to move on. This was nothing like the Dragons game, but it does quite get frustrating when Video refs and even the on-field refs make such blatant stuff-ups like Patten getting stripped, etc but nothing can be done about that.

I'm more annoyed that we have the bye already this week :(

I don't really care how well we are going. I was turning up to game last season when we were Cronulla.

We have been dudded 3 tries in 3 weeks that has gone to the Video ref. I want to watch a fair game of football.

The on field refs make it up though for the bulldogs, they are kept in games by the mistakes by those on the field

lol two decisions go against you and you act like you're getting screwed?

Newcastle do seem to have a lot of the 50/50 calls go their way, even then f**king obvious go their way.

Well unfortunately it's been 3 in 3 weeks with the video refs and the Bulldogs.

1. St George game (Everyone knows the call).
2. Holdsworth denied a fair try against Melbourne the following week, the ball clearly came off Goodwin’s head and not his hands... Yes we did score 1 set later but again another Dud call. Bill Harrigan admitted he got that wrong, his explanation... He "thought" it touched his hands from the first angel and with the other reply (Which clearly showed it didn't) he wanted to see who tackled Goodwin to sin bin him... Maybe Hasler is right, that's not professionalism and from the "Best" ref of all time.
3. Idris no try against Newcastle.

AGAIN, I don't know whether it would've made a difference to the result, that's irrelevant... Newcastle won and well done, but the video ref cannot keep making these errors. IF the ref made the call without the video i wouldn't be to upset... I really don't mind the on field ref making an error but the video ref? And with all those replays? PLEASE!

I wasn't surprised that the Idris try was called disallowed.

I thoguht I saw seperation and the ball hit the floor before his hand touched it. There is an arguement for benefit of the doubt, but I would have called it a no try had I been the video ref.

I didn't see the Newcastle try award - but would have disallowed that as I had tipped the Dogs :p

We got pretty much nothing last year, so it's nice to see we're getting some this year. But you're right, it's all a conspiracy FOR Newcastle, and AGAINST the Bulldogs (or any other team for that matter)

Might be sour grapes but i'm burning. Whether we would've won or not today is irrelavant, Newcastle scored two minutes later (Literally) and it was a 12 point turn around!

Someone from the NRL has to go! I don't mind the ref on the field making bad calls when they don't have a reply to fall back on but FMD for the Video Ref to get it wrong:crazy:... The Bulldogs are really being rorter this year!

Bill Harrigan we don't want you to come on monday and say "Yeah it was a mistake", You're useless and so is Robert Finch and your video Refs. Something needs to get done, it's getting embarrassing... Maybe Hasler is right!

idris try was 50/50 - i thought he dropped it but my mate thought it should have been

Even so, I think today had much more encouraging signs for the dogs than the knights, as the Knights were playing to the best of their ability and could only put away an extremely under-performing dogs outfit with a couple lucky decisions and uncharacteristic errors.

AHaha. Hahaha. HAHAHAHAHA.

Nice one idiot.

As far as I am concerned, we had enough chances and time to come back and win, and we weren't good enough. Full credit to the Knights who were the better team on the day.

It's a bit of swings and roundabouts situation, hopefully we are getting our share of bad luck calls now, and come semi time, it's reversed (and hopefully against St George, who will have another thing to add to there list of perceived injustices in finals games!)
