South African Super 12 player Ettienne Botha has died after being involved in a car crash in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The 26-year-old Bulls centre was driving alone in the vehicle when it veered off the road and rolled near his home in Pretoria.
Botha died at the scene of the accident.
A key player in the Bulls squad, Botha helped the team to three consecutive Currie Cup titles between 2002 and 2004.
He was the leading try scorer in last year's competition with a record 18, was a regular member of the Super 12 team and also played for South Africa A.
